The video was very popular on Twitter and Reddit. It generated many opinions about whether what is seen in the video is real or not, as well as if it is possible to do that without injuring yourself or ultimately damaging an organ.

== Ripple Guts ==
Ripple Guts are a series of two [[videos]] similar to each other and similar to 1 Guy 1 Chair. The first was posted on [[ShockSiteList.com]] as a GIF in early 2009 and shows a man standing up, inserting an oversized dildo into his stomach causing a bulge on the outside with the song ''[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_3ZuLMtG6KE Be Your Own Pet- The Kelly Affair]'' playing in the background, it would remain hosted until the page closed.

The second video is more mysterious, as its existence was not known until May 2014 when it was uploaded to [[Bestshockers.com]] and was hosted there until the site closed in 2017. It was first uploaded to [[EFUKT.com]] on October 27, 2009, a few months after the one uploaded to the [[ShockSiteList.com]], which might indicate they were recorded in the same year or before 2009.

This video lasts 47 seconds and is also named Ripple Guts. Here, a dildo is shown stuck in a mattress so that it does not move. Later, the same subject appears, first inserting the dildo horizontally, then getting on his knees while the dildo again causes a bulge in his stomach. The video seems to be recorded between 2008 and 2009, like the one shown on the ShockSiteList.com, only that it was uploaded later. However, this is unconfirmed, since this second video seemed to not be hosted on another site before being hosted here in 2014.

== Theory ==
The similarity and relationship between these three videos seem to be a coincidence, but apparently, the same subject that appears in 1 Guy 1 Chair is the same one that appears in Ripple Guts.

There are two ways to realize this:
#The dildo: It looks similar in all the videos, although it is not seen much in 1 Guy 1 Chair. In the few seconds that it can be seen, it appears to be very similar to the one in the previous videos.
#The body of the subject: In the first videos, a man not as skinny as shown in 1 Guy 1 Chair can be seen; However, the physical complexion looks strangely similar, since almost 12 or 13 years have passed since the Ripple Guts [[videos]] were recorded, which would show a man who lost a large amount of weight.

Within this, by analyzing his penis, they appear to be very similar, meaning it could be the same subject that appears in the three videos, although they were recorded in different years.

== Other information ==
It was speculated that the man in the videos died after 1 Guy 1 Chair due to following injuries, but this has been debunked since a tweet was misunderstood within a thread about 1 Guy 1 Chair where it is shown that "the mother of the subject supposedly had died days after or before the upload of the video" something that has not been verified either.

It is unknown if she was his mother, since the real identity of the man in the videos remains unknown or if the same person who appears in all the videos was the Twitter user bellendstoten2.

It is also unknown if there are additional videos of the Ripple Guts series, or other ones with different names.

The legend of the "Red Room" (in the animated version) starts with two friends discussing a rumor about an Internet pop-up ad that appears to ask, "Do you like —?" (あなたは—好きですか？,Anata wa—suki desu ka?) and is believed to cause death upon closure. While one friend is skeptical, the other investigates the matter and finds no information online. However, as he browses his usual websites, the pop-up appears, and a childlike voice repeatedly asks "Do you like —?". Despite his attempts to close it, the pop-up keeps reappearing, and the voice becomes distorted until the question changes to "Do you like red?". As the boy continues to close the pop-up, the voice eventually asks the completed question in a normal child's voice: "Do you like the red room?" (あなたは赤い部屋が好きですか？,Anata wa akai heya ga suki desu ka?). Following this, a website with a list of names appears, and the protagonist becomes aware of something behind him. The next day, there is school gossip about two students who committed suicide by painting their rooms red with their own blood. The protagonist's computer screen is then displayed with their name at the bottom of the list, before shutting off with an eerie sound. If the user's browser has not disabled pop-ups, a pop-up resembling the ad from the story will appear after the video ends.

The complete version of Akai Heya by Gato☆M resembles the scene where the pop-up appears. Upon accessing the [[website]], viewers are met with a warning advising that the content is not recommended for those with heart problems or who are easily frightened. Two options are presented: "View" (みる, miru) and "Stop" (やめる, yameru). Selecting "Stop" leads the viewer directly to the main site, while choosing "View" redirects them to a black page that, after a few seconds, presents a pop-up displaying a red image and the question "Do you like it?" (あなたは | 好きですか?, Anata wa -- suki desu ka?). As the viewer attempts to close the pop-up, it reopens, repeating the same question in a distorted female voice. The more the viewer tries to close the pop-up, the more it appears that a sentence is being formed.

Eventually, on the final pop-up, the sentence is completed: "Do you like the red room?" (あなたは赤い部屋が好きですか？ Anata wa akai heya ga suki desu ka?). The female voice repeats the sentence without distortion before the pop-up finally closes. The viewer is then directed to a red page displaying a list of names of those who, according to the urban legend, were victims of the pop-up and died shortly after viewing the list.
