'''A Sad Story In Girls Dormitory''' (Chinese: 一个发生在女生宿舍的凄凉故事) was a [[screamer]] animation that circulated across the Chinese Internet around 2010.

It has a very similar concept to [[McDonalds.exe]], which grabs the victim's attention and sets the mood through a crude horror story before showing the screamer. However, this one is more like a slideshow as the story is separated into several pages and the viewer needs to manually continue by clicking the silver button.

On the page where the story at its climax, however, the advance button does not appear anymore. After around 2 seconds, before the reader can read all the text on the page, an edited image of [[Crazy Ghost]] with poorly drawn eyeglasses suddenly appears along with a loud scream. After the screamer, there is one more page with the punchline of the story.

[[Eddy.com.cn]] had an unofficial English version, which is currently lost. There is an alternate PowerPoint slideshow version with a slightly different story and a male scream.

Sometime in the 1990s, a story like this unfolded in the girl's dormitory of a well-known university…⏭️
 
A female student, for reasons unknown, jumped to her death—BUT this suicide was different from others. Because she landed headfirst, ever since then, in Room xxxx of the first girl's dormitory hallway, people have often heard sounds like "a head hitting the ground"… thud… thud…… thud…… The sound came from the far end of the hallway, slowly drawing closer, slowly drawing closer……… Suddenly… the sound stopped, no longer echoing. It turned out the sound had stopped right outside the dorm room where she had lived during her lifetime.⏭️
 
She then said in a desolate voice, "Is [Name] there?" Her roommates all knew that was her returning…… But no one dared to open the door… This went on for several weeks. However, as time went on, these occurrences became less and less frequent………⏭️
 
Before long, summer vacation arrived. As the break began, the students in the dormitory gradually returned home. Yet these terrifying events never ceased……… ⏭️
 
One night, the girl's dormitory manager was cleaning the rooms (since everyone had rushed back without properly tidying up, the poor manager had no choice but to clean them one by one). When he reached this room, which had been the subject of so many rumors, he felt kind of creepy. "But rumors are just rumors—there's nothing behind this…… Sigh! Don't think about it," the dorm man thought to himself. So he bravely opened the door, only to feel waves of a chilling aura… ⏭️
 
Upon closer inspection, he realized the north-facing window hadn't been closed, and his heart settled. He stepped forward to shut it, but just as he was closing it, he suddenly heard a loud "thud." He turned around to see that the door had closed on its own. ⏭️
 
At that moment, that sense of foreboding welled up inside him again. Just as he stood there at a loss, that terrifying sound—thud-thud-thud…—came again from the distant end of the hallway, growing closer and closer, slowly, slowly approaching. "Now, whether the rumor is true or not doesn't matter," he thought to himself.⏭️
 
He was terrified, but what could he do? He couldn't just sit there and wait for something terrible to strike, so he decided to hide temporarily under the desk by Bed No. 2. He'd wait until it had passed before coming out—perhaps that way he could escape unscathed. ⏭️
 
But life rarely goes as planned; this saying was vividly proven true in his case. The girl stopped at the doorway, no longer struggling, and said slowly, her voice filled with sorrow, "You… don't… have… to… hide… anymore… I've… already… seen… you…" The dorm man thought to himself, "I'm hiding under the desk, and you haven't even opened the door—how could you possibly see me?" ⏭️
 
So the dorm man walked to the door, bent down, and pressed his face close to the floor, trying to catch a glimpse of the female ghost. When he peered through the gap at the bottom of the door, he was startled to see two blood-soaked eyes staring at him with a mournful gaze………

她就以凄凉的声音说：某某某在吗? 她的室友都知道，这是她回了................但没有人敢去开门...这样的情形，一直维持了好几个礼拜。但久而久之，这种情况也就愈来愈少..........⏭️
 
过了不久，暑假到了，随着假期的来临，宿舍的学生也都纷纷的回去了。而这种可怕的事情，却未曾停止..................⏭️
 
一天晚上，女生宿舍的管理员在清理宿舍（由于大家急着回来，没有好好的整理寝室，所以可怜的管理员，只好一间一间的清理了），清理到这间传闻颇多的房间。心　也就毛了起来，「但传言归传言，没有根据的事情.....唉!不要去想它。」管理员心中想着。于是便大胆的开了房门，只感觉阴气阵阵....⏭️
 
注意一看，原来是北边的窗户没有关上，这时心中便安了起来。于是想上前去关上那个窗户，就在他关上的那一刹那，突然听到"碰"一声。他回头一看，门已经自动关上了。 ⏭️
 
这时他的心中，那种不祥的预兆又产生了。就在他旁彷不知所措的时候，这个可怕的声音碰....碰....碰..又从遥远的走廊尽头，由远而近，慢慢的、慢慢的靠了过来「这时不管有没有这个传闻，已是无关紧要了。」他心中想着。⏭️
 
他非常害怕，但又能如何呢?总不能坐以待弊，于是他想暂时躲在2号床位的书桌底下，等她过去了再出来，这样或许能逃过一劫。⏭️
 
但人生不如意；十之八九，这句话活生生的证明在他身上。她停在门囗，没有在跳动了，以凄凉的囗气缓缓的说：「你..不..用..再..躲..了..我..已..经..看..到..你..了。」管理员心想说：「我躲在桌下，而你也没有开门，怎么可能看得到我呢?」 ⏭️
 
于是管理员，走到门前，弯下身子，将脸贴近地面，想看看那一个女鬼。当他从底下门隙一看,居然看到两个血淋淋的眼睛，以哀怨的眼神看着他說............

Once opened, the website would first display blue text reading "[[The Maze]]" before quickly changing to a picture of [[Regan MacNeil]] from ''[[Wikipedia:The Exorcist|The Exorcist]]'', accompanied by three amplified screams from [[The Maze]] which would repeat every few seconds. The file used to display these contents was named "kjkj.swf," which is identical to the one used in [[Killerjo.net]]. Because of this, the website is considered to be a mirror of '''Killerjo.net'''.

The website has the meta keyword "突然打开的吓人尖叫网站,整人的吓人网站", which (poorly) translates to: "A scary screaming website that opens suddenly, and tricks people" revealing its purpose. Similarly, the title of the webpage is "吓人的网站" which translates to "Scary website." The creator of this website was revealed to be "snsunzhen",<ref>[https://web.archive.org/web/20111001134130/http://www.shafou.com/ The Archive] of him linking his Facebook Account. (October 1st, 2011)</ref> due to his actual Facebook account being linked above the screamer.

Furthermore, it is said that clicking the picture shares the website on the user's Facebook account, unless the user is signed in to Facebook, it will lead to the login page instead. The website uses obfuscated Base64 code, making it difficult to determine that it is a [[screamer]].

In November 2009, the website's content included numerous download links and a search bar. This is the original state of the shafou.com domain. Sometime later in June 2010, the website was replaced with the screamer. There was also a link to a different website at the bottom of the page: Shafou.net - a blog displaying pictures of a girl and Chinese text. Later, on May 5, the website updated with a link above the screamer that led the user to a blog that was written by the creator himself, stating that someone asked him to purchase the domain (among other things). After that, on October 1, the website again updated and now directed the user to a Facebook link to the creator's account, as mentioned earlier. On March 2012, the website had a link to [https://web.archive.org/web/20120413105733/http://www.tmdchina.net/ TMDChina.net], where the creator posted several blogs. Right next to the TMD link, there was a hyperlink that redirected to an Oranum chat. In 2013, the same content of the website remained, but the link to the blog was removed. The file interestingly later changed to "s.swf", and the title changed to "SHAFOU" which rapidly switched from capital to lowercase. On February 2016, the website link to the creator's blog was added again. Later on, the website was replaced and turned into a redirect to [[Herobrine.com]], presumably made by the same creator. However, the next year, the website reverted to the same content, but with a picture of Regan MacNeil instead of a .swf file. A link to Herobrine.com was added above. Herobrine.com at the time was a blog website, and the "Home" link redirected to Shafou.com, revealing that the author of Shafou.com and Herobrine.com are most likely the same person. After some time, the link to Herobrine.com was removed, and both of them later changed to have the same content after 2 years.

In October 2019, the website was replaced entirely with a note: "你访问的这个网站域名正在以9.9万元的价格出售中，交易方式为阿里云带价PUSH，如买请联系 13225271551 不买不要联系", which translates to: "''The domain name of the website you are visiting is being sold at a price of 99,000 yuan. The transaction method is PUSH with Alibaba Cloud price. If you want to buy it, please contact 13225271551. The earliest archive state shows GoDaddy's parked site in late 2012. In March 2014, the site changes to a blog created by a chinese user, stating about his experience on his first job.<ref>web.archive.org/web/20140327063416/herobrine.com - March 2014 Archive</ref> In December 2014, the website changed into another blog which contained a text stating "''Hi, I am Chinese, Born in 1989, Male. However, someone else bought the website domain and turned it into a screamer by adding a redirect to Shafou.com, leaving people who visited the website in shock. In 2017, the website used the image of Regan instead of using the .swf file. In November 2019, the screamer was removed and the content of the page was replaced with: "''This domain for sale 1 Bitcoin Email: 474840521@qq.com''". This was until May 2020, the domain, along with Shafou.com, was acquired again and simply showed a photo titled: "1.jpg", showing a picture of a QR Code from Alipay, which is a Chinese third party online and mobile payment platform.

The website also had a variant called "Herobrine.96.it", which was hosted by an Italian user. This site presented the same content as the original site. However, a script was provided to lock the .mp3 sound file at 50%. There was a title that stated "''ORA MORIRAI''" which translates to "''NOW YOU WILL DIE''".
