The Homo was a [[shock site]] and work of digital art depicting a middle-aged man engaged in a sexual pose. The picture originated in 2003 and was taken in the home of a middle-aged man known simply as The Homo. The image contains a number of interesting features - the man is wearing women's lingerie and some women's headwear he bought from eBay. The sexual nature of this artwork is clear - the model inserts a sexual device in his anus and also a dildo into his mouth. His penis is covered with what appears to be an empty water bottle.

According to the site, "This artistic image is similar to other works such as [[Tubgirl]], [[Jarsquatter|1 Man 1 Jar]], and [[BME Pain Olympics]]. The Artistic meaning behind the image is aimed at forcing the viewer to consider a number of themes, such as materialism and racism."

There was also a mirror of ''Thehomo.org'' known as Bigimage, which features the image along with an extremely loud audio of the line from Darkest Dungeon: "ancient traps unsprung and thirsting for blood". It was one of the shock sites created by [[User:Kekmaguy|ObokTheSecond]], and this one is assumed to be the successor of [[Kekma.net]].

The website was first registered in either 2000 or 2001, with the oldest archive of the site appearing in February 2001. Klerck.org was initially hosted by a man named Kevin Ealy. At its beginning, the website was nearly empty, containing only one link that led to a picture of his dog. However, this site did not feature any pornographic content.

By 2006, the website had gained a reputation for being listed on shock site lists created by users. While the main page did not contain pornographic content, some subpages secretly displayed disturbing images such as [[Goatse]], [[Spin.gif]], and others.

Kevin Ealy Klerck was a well-known internet troll, and the website's purpose was to serve as a personal directory of his works, including [[Dance.swf]]. Additionally, Klerck created a petition on Petitions Online, demanding that New Line Cinema and Peter Jackson rename the second Lord of the Rings film to something more tasteful, considering the impact of the [[wikipedia:9/11|9/11 terrorist attacks]]. This troll gained widespread attention when websites, newspapers, and TV broadcasts began sharing stories about it.
