Investigations led by a small cult following in [[Reddit]] revealed the site's purpose as an [[wikipedia:alternate reality game|alternate reality game]] (ARG). Much of the website's content is intentionally obfuscated; however, investigators documented various cryptic assets, including hidden imagery and text files (which had to do with the password "hell"). By 2024, the original domain had expired and was subsequently parked by ''[[wikipedia:GoDaddy|GoDaddy]]''.

The image depicts a woman, naked save for a strange mask and white stockings, lying in a small bathtub with her legs placed behind her head while a fountain of yellow-orange liquid (either enema or diarrhea) shoots out of her anus and onto her face. Due to the genitalia being censored, it was probably originally from Japan. The picture has many mirrors such as ''tubgirl.me'' and ''tubgirl.fr'', which are used as a bait and switch, in which a user clicks on a misleading domain or link and gets redirected to the image. Tubgirl.me's image got changed to two images of fat women with penis in their belly button.

The image is notable for the general mystery surrounding its origin. It was obviously created sometime in the late 90s or around the year 2000 and is likely Japanese in origin due to the censorship of the woman’s genitalia. The Tubgirl.me site also features a second, nearly identical image where the woman is wearing black-and-red fishnets and a blindfold, with a much less directed flow of anal expulsion and a piece of paper with a crude drawing of a vulva on it in place of digital censorship.

El video comienza con un mensaje de advertencia de que los materiales del video pueden dañar la salud y mirar bajo su propio riesgo. Después de ese mensaje, se muestra un pasillo de color marrón oscuro con música espeluznante de fondo.

Después de unos 50 segundos, aparece una imagen de un adorable gatito acompañado de un maullido y, luego, comienzan los créditos. Allegedly, during night time, the site showed a picture of a lit-up highway, however no such photo can be seen during night time.
