Where's Waldo? is an old screamer animation based on the British book series Where's Waldo, and has similarities to What's Wrong?. The animation was originally uploaded to Newgrounds by the user PimpMasterKDOG (or simply called by his short pseudonym, KDOG) on Dec 16th, 2001.

The original begins with the main menu and a start button. The gameplay is to find Waldo in crowded people, from the PC game Where's Waldo in the Circus. Once the player finds it (Waldo is behind the grandma's shoulder), the text: "Congratulation" appears before being replaced by "You Found Waldo"; this version does not have a screamer. Another screamer was shortly made after, uploaded to Newgrounds at 10:32 PM, which doesn't contain a screamer likewise to the previous.

Jeremy Winterrowd commented that this was the first screamer he had seen, which inspired him to make The Maze game.

Versions
The original screamer version was published on July 17th, 2002, by TheGuyYouAllHate, with Waldo removed from a large crowd of people, and inviting the player to find him while circus music plays. After about 30 seconds, a picture of Pazuzu from the 1973 horror film The Exorcist appears, accompanied by a scream from the video game Mortal Kombat 2 before cutting back to the image, now with the music muted. In the description, it states that it was made a few weeks ago. TeKZoned hosted this version.

There's an alternate version of this with a flashing image of the What's Wrong face with yellow lights in its eye sockets, accompanied by a different scream, followed by Scooby-Doo's laugh. Another, even shorter version exists, which includes Regan MacNeil from the same movie at the end, accompanied by a repeating sound of Bart and Lisa Simpson from The Simpsons screaming in fear. This version was uploaded to YouTube by DjManny123 on June 19, 2007.

In early 2007, Jackspicer14 created a Flash animation titled "The Simpsons: Find Maggie" which is submitted on the site Winterrowd.com. It follows the concept of Where's Waldo? The animation presents a crowd of The Simpsons characters, challenging viewers to locate Maggie within the crowd. After 30 seconds, the animation shifts to a picture of Brandon from the 2006 horror film The Slaughter, accompanied by the same scream used in The Ultimate Maze. In the Winterrowd version, the animation ends with a link redirecting to the official Winterrowd site.

YouTube variations
On May 27th, 2007, Bristowman created a YouTube video based on both "follow-the-dot" and the Flash, titled "Eye Testing Ben." This video takes the form of a minigame collection, inspired by the channel owner's first name, Ben. The video begins on a white screen bearing the message "Eye Testing Ben (You don't need to take glasses off)." It quickly demonstrates the first level, where players must follow a black dot. Subsequently, a message instructs players to increase the volume as the second game is introduced, challenging them to find Waldo in a picture. A cropped screenshot from a Where's Waldo book appears, depicting a beach scene with a man spilling ice cream on a sunbathing woman's back. After several seconds, an image of The Gentlemen from the Buffy the Vampire Slayer episode "Hush" appears, accompanied by a loud female scream. A brief message follows, where the creator hoped that the viewer was startled by the screamer.

On October 11, 2012, StefanD99 uploaded his version titled "Hilarious hidden message in Where's Waldo" on YouTube. It features a low-quality screenshot of "The Goggling Gluttons" page from the Where's Waldo? book series. The screenshot slowly zooms in to the center while the song "Don't Worry Be Happy" by Bobby McFerrin plays. At the 22-second mark, a ghostly humanoid monster appears with the same scream from Ghost Caught on Tape, accompanied by a growling sound.

On October 17, 2010, PrepareForAScare shared a "scary-pop-up"-based video titled "FIND WALDO (scary pop-up)" on YouTube. The video begins with a screenshot from the Waldo book series, challenging viewers to locate Waldo among numerous other characters. However, Waldo is edited out in the image. As the video advances, seemingly reaching its end, an image of a vampire suddenly appears on the screen, accompanied by a chilling scream resembling that of a young girl. This same screamer image has also been repurposed for use in the Maze Challenge game.

In 2012, SuperLaugh, the creator of the What's Wrong? version of Where's Waldo? animation, uploaded a screamer video titled "The Hardest Where's Waldo Ever" on YouTube. The video opens with an image of a crowded beach, featuring the same circus music used in Where's Waldo? playing in the background. Viewers are instructed to find "Waldo" in the image. However, Waldo is notably absent, and the same screamer from What's Wrong abruptly interrupts after approximately 17 seconds.

In 2018, a YouTube user Mega Osodashi published a lost screamer video (under the name "Crystal the Tanuccoon") on YouTube titled "The Simpsons Comic: Find Ned Flanders In This Panel!" The video was deleted along with her video Baikinman's Heartbeat shortly in November. The video showcases a panel from The Simpsons comic book called "The Yes-Man Who Would Be King" and bears resemblance to the Where's Waldo? screamer. Users are compelled to find Ned Flanders in the comic's panel while a sped-up version of "Watch Out" by Bambee plays quietly in the background. At the 0:25 mark, a white girl with large eyes, large pupils, and a bloody mouth (from Planet Dolan's "15 Creepiest Things A Child Has Ever Said") suddenly appears, accompanied by an extremely loud scream. Following the screamer, a scene from the 1974 Perman episode plays, revealing a pink text that reads "Fooled!" and then shifts to "Look for more videos on my Generation Star YouTube channel!". Both moments are accompanied by a sped-up chorus of "Call Me" by Babe.
SiIvaGunner rip
YTPMVers Grambam36, Ashley, and collaborative music channel SiIvaGunner, uploaded a "high-quality rip" titled "Carnival Music - Wheres Waldo?" to YouTube on October 30, 2022. This video is an apparent rip of Where's Waldo? It kicks off with what seems to be the same crowd from the original screamer game, featuring various characters like Sonic, Tails, Amy, and Shadow from the Sonic franchise, Damn Daniel, and Maki Nishikino from Love Live!. The top left corner features an "Unregistered HyperCam 2" watermark. While carnival music plays in the background, incorporating the same vocals from the Parry Gripp song Do You Like Waffles?. At 0:13, the music fades, leading to a brief silence until the 0:41 mark, where a voice can be heard preceded by a "WAFF--". Abruptly following that, it cuts to the "I AM GOD" image from Sonic.exe instead of Pazuzu, accompanied by the same scream from the original screamer game.
SPINGEBILL TRIPS ON LSD is a YouTube Poop created by retired American YouTuber BarneyIsPerverted on June 25th, 2011, it is one of his YTPs that features Spingebill, who is an evil made-up version of SpongeBob SquarePants that is commonly used in YTPs. The video was taken down but has been reuploaded by on January 16th, 2025.

It begins with distorted, edited footage from 3 SpongeBob SquarePants episodes. While most of the montage is chaotic but safe, some screamers can be found near the 41 seconds mark. The screamer appears as an extremely fast flurry of faces looping over and over against a flashing, spinning colorful background. Falling letters and numbers change continuously, accompanied by loud rock music, the images include:

* A close-up of Toht's melting face from Raiders of the Lost Ark.
* Ghoulbob.
* Billy the Puppet.
* Moar Krabs (which is actually a screencap of a transmogrified Mr. Krabs from the SpongeBob SquarePants season 2 episode Jellyfish Hunter).
* A man with a baby's face for left eye.
* A crudely-drawn, deformed, cactus-shaped SpongeBob.
* A black man's head with wild hair twisted like spaghetti.
* A close-up of a man with dull eyes, a droopy nose and a tired look on his face.
* A close-up of Patrick Star with bloodshot eyes and a wide-open mouth, taken from The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie.
* A crude, bloodied Mickey Mouse face (which is popularized as one of the images for suicidemouse.avi).
* A screenshot of Squidward's face from Just One Bite.
* Large Marge.
* One of the clowns from Scary pop up that will make you jump and cry(it will make you cry).
* Pazuzu.
* A sharpened image of SpongeBob looking shocked with bloodshot eyes.
* The I like bread screamer.
* The Stickman Screamer 2 screamer.
* El Ayuwoki.
* A crudely-drawn barefoot SpongeBob with crooked teeth and long arms screaming.
* The burning face from Daneboe's Scariest Faces video.
* A close-up image of Regan MacNeil from The Exorcist.
* Patrixxx (which is actually an untooned Patrick Star smiling in a half-smug, half-creepy way).
* A white humanoid robot with a white hood.

Despite the screamer being continuous, the video suddenly ends with it exploding into pieces after being distorted by the blue screen of death, accompanied by a loud explosion sound.

Trivia
* The screamer was later used in two YTPs: Spingebill Experiences a Horrifying DNA (another YTP by BarneyIsPerverted) and Despicable Meme - Gru's Constipated (a Despicable Me YTP by Goop Videos).
* The explosion sound appears to mimic the Death Star explosion sound from Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope.
Samara Morgan/Sadako Yamamura is the main antagonist of the 1991 horror novel Ring. In 1998, a film based on the novel was made, and the film became massively popular and had many sequels, and even a remake for western audiences in 2002 titled The Ring, in which the character was renamed to Samara Morgan.

Samara was a very popular character during the time screamers on the internet began becoming more and more popular, so footage or still shots of her soon started being used in screamers.

Her Story
Samara was born in 1970 to her mother, Evelyn. Her father, Burke, was a priest who harmed her mother and kept her captive, only letting her free when she was eight months pregnant. Samara never cried, even as a newborn. Which alarmed Evelyn. She began to drown Samara to "cleanse her evil spirits" at a hospital run by nuns, Evelyn was sent to a psychiatric asylum.

Samara Morgan was put up for adoption and was adopted by Anna and Richard Morgan.

Her powers being to develop, and she accidentally terrorizes her adoptive parents. The Legend of Samara involves her being dropped down a well to die, then she survived for over seven days before eventually dying. Julia and Holt believe that Samara's soul is trapped and want to find her remains to burn them.
}}
Do NOT Watch This Video AT NIGHT is a challenge video made by YouTuber Dark Corners in 2016. It's very similar to "Try Not To Get Scared" in terms of style, but features largely different sources for the segments. A number of the segments contain jump scares.

Unlike "Try Not To Get Scared", the video starts off with a viewer discretion notice that warns that the video's content may not be suitable for some viewers. After this, the rules show up, which say that the lights must be off, that the viewer's headphones (or volume) must be cranked up, as well as no hiding in the comments section. Then, the video begins.
All Levels
Level 1 - Images
Simply put, it's a collection of images designed to scare/disturb the viewer or to imply subtly that something is off. Amongst the images featured are:
* A pale face in an almost darkened room.
* A ghost woman pressing her hands against a window on a door with her features somewhat blurred.
* The Rake.
* A swamp creature (the camera zooms into it).
* Another ghost woman standing beside a tree.
* A clown drowning in a pool of water.
* An alleged image of a skunk ape.
* A smiling, almost dazed-looking ghost woman looking out a window in an apartment.
* A man with a zombie mask in a forest.
* An image of a baby with a dark shadowy figure behind him (it briefly zooms into the figure as we transition).
* A dog-like skull peeking through a door.
* An orange-faced person with a bleeding mouth and a lack of eyes and nose.
* A black-and-white picture of a man covered in a strange substance lying on the floor, with a wall next to him having a written message: "I AM IN HELL HELP ME" (taken from the movie Hellbound: Hellraiser 2).
* A white creature in a black suit (who resembles Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas) standing from afar in a dark room.
* A black-and-white image of a Spazm Prop (a lifelike mental patient Halloween decoration that even jitters; this very image was used for the creepypasta The Russian Sleep Experiment).
* Yet another ghost woman (who resembles Samara Morgan from The Ring) crawling down a staircase.
* A creepy-looking woman standing at her open window, observing the view.
Throughout this, creepy ambient music plays and a camera flash acts as the transition, along with occasional sound effects such as screams to go along with the images.

After this level is complete, the viewer will go to the next, which is:

Level 2 - …
As the name suggests, there are no visuals in this level, and the only thing there is what is either the sound of footsteps or knocking on a door that stops every now and again. After a while, a camera flash appears to signal that the level is complete (it can also be interpreted as the individual taking a picture of the viewer). Then, the viewer will find themselves at:

Level 3 - GIFS
Creepy GIFs and animations are featured here. They include:
* A black and white scene of a clearly scared girl looking around an isolated room crying. In the background, what appears to be a man dressed in a double mask (one on his head and one on the face) sneaks up behind and prepares to slit his throat. Taken from the film The Poughkeepsie Tapes
* A ghost girl doing a slow, stiff walk.
* A man recording himself at night. When he turns the night vision on, however, there is a humanoid creature latched onto a tree behind him.
* A small clip from the 2006 video "Possible Fallen Angel in Catalonia", where the supposed creature turns to face the camera crew when they get close enough.
* A black-and-white scene of a young zombie boy inching closer to the screen.
* Blood dripping from the ceiling before the camera pans up to reveal the blood's owner: a white demon. Taken from the film Grave Encounters.
* A woman driving her car at night. In the back, moonlight reveals a creature sitting in the back seat.
* A car driving through a forest and past a fleshy humanoid on its hands and legs. The creature quickly backs off.
* A small boy becoming demonic, taken from the Western horror film Dead Birds.
* A teen girl doing a vlog until a shadow passes by in the doorway. Through her screen, she notices and goes to the hall to see the cause of it. Finding nothing, she tries to resume only for her camera to fall. She catches it in the nick of time and focuses it on her face. She backs up, only to bump into a ghost woman.
* A Japanese schoolkid staring at their shaking hands, followed by looking up to their peers, who are demonic and freaky looking, implying that the student is hallucinating.
* A little girl encountering a ghostly woman doing a delicate dance. When she looks at the ghost a second time, she charges at her quickly. As she dashes, quick wet footsteps are heard. Taken from the film Mama.
* A large creature in the process of eating a woman who's in bed.
* Another clip from Grave Encounters, with the same demon chasing the cameraman.
* A dark face in a room. Its eyes are the only clear feature. It briefly appears again after the next clip.
* Also from Dead Birds, a woman becoming monstrous.
* Two girls in an empty building, looking visibly scared.
* The ghost woman from Mama coming closer to the camera with each flash of the light.
* A clip from the Daywalt Horror short Jack, with a little girl turning the crank on a jack-in-the-box while a creepy clown observes from her closet, clearly intending to kill her.
* A CG animation of a grinning humanoid monster with black eyes staring directly at the viewer.
* A clip from the art film The Begotten, depicting a person on a chair spazzing while fluid leaks from their mouth.
* A girl putting a flashlight in her mouth, revealing two fingers that emerge from her throat.
* A smiling woman's face, taken from the Japanese film Zeiram.
* A man trying to hide from a humanoid limping in the room.
* A sleeping person being levitated by an unknown force.
* And lastly, a creature looking into a mirror, appearing to moan sorrowfully.
Once the viewer gets past that, they will wind up at:

Level 4 - Videos
A group of creepy videos, a few containing jumpscares.
* First, a camera searches through a swamp, only to encounter a non-moving woman.
* In a dark room, a camera focuses on a figure moving in the halls. The camera turns to the right, then it turns back to come face to face with the figure, who resembles a bald man with a psychotic expression. The cameraman attempts to touch him to see if he's alive, which results in an attack.
* The Real Demons Caught On Tape video.
* The video where a guy encounters a ghost girl in his hall, who keeps changing position whenever he returns.
* A scene from the film Ura Horra where a group of friends encounters a ghostly woman supposedly commit suicide by train. Unaware to them, she's still watching.
* The video of a Russian man encountering what looks like a hunchbacked witch in the dirt terrain, slowly following him.

Level 5 - Jumpscare
Indeed, because as soon as the word "jumpscare" is revealed, a hooded skull with one eye pops up, accompanied by an extremely loud roaring sound. After that, the video asks the viewer to let the user know how far they made it in comments. The video ends on a long shot of a forest at night at a worm's eye view.
Nickelodeon Shark of Doom was a screamer video uploaded to YouTube on October 13th, 2020 by SuperCyberJohn. It was later set to private, but got reuploaded by Vegas Pro 15 Teh Object Thingy on Feburary 16th, 2025.

The video begins with a black background, while an orange shark with a red-colored Nickelodeon logo on both sides appears, swimming to the top right corner while a snippet of the Jaws theme plays in the background. The shark then swims to the bottom left corner, and as the theme goes on, the shark swims to the center and gets closer to the screen, accompanied by King Kong's roar during his 1933 debut and a stock sound of a girl screaming. Just as the shark gets closer, it cuts to static for 3 seconds until suddenly, a flashing, red-tinted image of one of the faces from Scary Pop Up Shocker! appears, accompanied by a loud screech before the screen cuts to black again, ending the video.
