== Plot ==
The game focuses on a town where the Devil has invaded, and the player has four days to eliminate all possessed citizens (led by a witch and a vampire) and finally purge the evil by defeating the Devil himself before he can take over.

== Screamer ==
In the intro, a priest is at an altar, playing a loop of 5 notes on a piano. Lightning starts striking soon after, and eventually it strikes him, leading Satan to rise from the ground. This sequence lasts approximately 40 seconds, until Satan's face appears on the screen with a long scream (in the Amiga version).

== Gameplay ==
The game uses a combination of text-based commands, clickable verbal commands, and clickable objects to progress. A compass indicates which directions the player can travel. Much of the game's movement and actions are real-time, so there is a day-and-night cycle, and other characters go about their business throughout the adventure. The player's inventory can be viewed in the respective menu. Many encounters can kill the protagonist (ideally at night time) unless the player performs a proper action to avoid them. Newer versions of the game omitted the encounters where the players get garroted. The player loses the game if four days pass and all the required possessed citizens have not been killed and the devil has not been repelled.

== Reception ==
When it was generally well-received, including the ratings of 87% by Zzap! (Amiga), 84% by Computer + Video Games (Amiga and Atari ST), 74% by CU Amiga (Amiga), and 7/10 by Datormagazin (Amiga).

== Plot ==
Corporation is set in a dark future, and centres around the Universal Cybernetics Corporation, or U.C.C., responsible for employing a large percentage of the population of London and is a keystone in the stability of the economy, thus controlling the government's popularity. U.C.C.'s London headquarters' factory is under the government suspicion of illegally producing genetically engineered hostile mutants. The U.C.C. is a successful "corporation" that works with pride on (legal) genetic experiments, cybernetic implants and body modifications. Recently, however, one of the U.C.C.'s experiments has escaped and is wreaking havoc on London, which is where the player comes in, taking control of a national security spy (or a "cyber cop" in the North American Genesis version) working for the agency known as ZODIAC, assigned to infiltrate and expose the illegal activity.

== Screamer ==
In the intro after the logos, a shot of the U.C.C. building is shown, as music composed by the late Ben Daglish plays with thunder strikes and footsteps sounding. Then suddenly, around 25 seconds in, the picture of the building fades out, and a green monster, likely one of the U.C.C. mutants that escaped, flashes on screen quickly with a loud roaring scream, as a picture of a shocked woman shows with another scream as the screen fades to red, and then fades to scratches of blood as the music nears its end.

== Gameplay ==
The player is given the option of choosing between one of six agents (two men, two women, and two androids, each with variable ability and skill levels). The game is played in a first-person perspective, rendered with 3D polygon environments. The agent lands on the building's roof with the goal of progressing from the fifth floor down to the basement on level eight. The mission involves the search of incriminating evidence, which would allow the authorities to shut down the illegal genetic experiments taking place.

Game elements include hacking electronic door locks from terminals, avoiding alarm triggers and security cameras, battling enemies, and staying alive through the planned use of the items bought in advance before the mission. The conservation of energy is key, but more batteries can be found as floor pick-up items. In a special menu the player is able to heal wounds on specific parts of body, manage various electronic devices scattered throughout the game, apply body modifications and other items, and gather information. In order to reach lower floors, the player must locate special key cards or terminals to acquire higher security clearances to operate the elevators. The Amiga and Atari ST version also had customisable content: a suitable registration card with a request could be sent to Core containing details of the player and a passport-sized photograph attached. Core would then send the player a floppy diskette containing the sent data that could then be loaded after inserting and loading the data from the first disk. In 1991, an expansion pack with 16 new levels titled the Corporation Mission Disk was released for the Amiga & Atari ST.

== Reception ==
The game received very high marks in magazines but had problems with the blocky controls, non-textured polygon surfaces, high difficulty, and realism.

==The Retro Era (1970 - Late 1998)==
This mostly consists of screamers made within the Retro Era. Most of these can be low quality, as in "retro" in the title. These can include up to [[Budd Dwyer’s Suicide|suicides on live television]], [[ChechClear|graphic war videos]] or just [[Goatse|weird]] [[BME Pain Olympics|pornography]]. Now, I'm going to list the shock sites in the retro era.
* [[Monkey on Their Backs]] - PSA commercial against heroin (yes unironically). It starts off with a monkey toy crashing it's cymbals, with a narrator saying things like "They say, people addicted to heroin have a monkey on their back". But of course, the monkey toy jumpscares the camera with a scream.
* [[Bowlgirl]] - Shock video featuring a woman near a metal bowl with a lit candle. Two seconds later, she sticks her entire hand down her throats and vomits, and even slurping the vomit back up.
* [[Rotten.com]] - The first shock host - literally. Registered by Soylent Communications, the site hosted dead people, diseases, deformed bodies, violent acts, and other graphic content. An example of a image hosted is a Scarlet Macaw on a man's erect penis that got spammed on Slashdot, and made a cameo in [[Last Measure]].
==The Classic Era (1999 - Late 2003)==
This is where shock sites start to become popular. These can be posted on things like AOL Messager, or Microsoft Messager.
* [[2 Kids 1 Sandbox]] - This has absolutely nothing to do with kids or a sandbox. Instead, it's a shock video featuring low quality footage of someone inserting a small yellow dildo inside a man's penis.
* [[SuperSucker.com]] - Shock site featuring a picture of an old man preforming autofellatio with the caption "you fucking suck!!".
* [[Goatse|goatse.cx]] - Features an image of a man stretching his anus with both of his hands revealing his anal cavity. It is apart of "The Power 5" featuring five shock images: the same image, Tubgirl, Hai2u, Meatspin and Lemon Party. It is also apart of a collection of images featuring the same man, Kirk Johnson stretching their anus.
* Bottle Guy - Shock image of the same man in [[Goatse]] with a large plastic bottle in his anus. Ouch.
* [[The Gaping Maw]] - Shock site made by Soylent Communications apart of Rotten. It gained attraction due to offensive content on the site.
* [[Ogrish.com]] / LiveLeak - A (in)famous shock host. Unlike other shock hosts, it was also a uncensored news site. It became a internet favorite when it rebranded to LiveLeak. There were also memes related to LiveLeak where it featured Roblox gameplay being similar to graphic content with the LiveLeak logo in the top corner. The site would end it's gore part on May 5th, 2021 and rebrand to [[YouTube|ItemFix]].
* [[Skinny Dipping]] - Shock site with blue text on top of the page "Mmm, mmm mm." with pornographic content below.
* [[Klerck.org]] - Shock host hosting featuring [[Meatspin]], Christmas.jpg, [[Dance.swf|dance.swf]] and [[The Pain Series|Pain4.jpg]]. The main page was not pornographic and has a link to a page featuring to a picture of the creator's dog. On March 8th, 2005 the former site owner Klerck was found dead in his bathroom. A suicide note was posted on his LiveJournal. Rest in peace.
* [[Rate My Poo]] - Shock site made by Soylent Communications, which is apart of the review sites they made. You get to review shit, but in 2019 the site only became a picture of Donald Trump with the caption "BIGGEST PIECE OF SHIT" (true).
* [[Monkey Sugar]] - Flash animation featuring Microsoft Mary saying a definition of "monkey sugar", then saying "The following are examples of things which are most certainly NOT monkey sugar." followed by a slideshow of graphic images.
* [[Urinalpoop.org]] - Shock site made by the same creators of [[Goatse]] with a gallery featuring five feces in a urinal.
* [[Man-dog-man Train]] - Shock image featured on a Goatse mirror, which is a zoophilic image. Need I say more?
* [[BME Pain Olympics]] - A series of compilations of genital mutilation, though the first installment was confirmed fake.
* [[Dance.swf]] - Flash animation featuring two stick figures dancing to Hamster Dance, on a zoomed in version of [[Goatse]]. Later it zooms out revealing that they were dancing on [[Goatse]].
* [[The Pain Series|Pain Series]] - A shock site that came from Something Awful, featuring seven photocollages full of graphic content. The shock site was popularized by [[Encyclopedia Dramatica]].
* [[Eel Soup]] - Zoophilic shock video featuring eels going into a woman's anus. It was later farted out and another woman eats and sucks on the eels.
* [[Jackass Paper Cuts]] - Clip of a scene from Jackass of someone giving themselves paper cuts.
* [[Magic Eye]] - Shock GIF featuring a autostereogram. Fourteen seconds later, the autostereogram turns into [[Goatse]].
* [[Lemon Party]] - Shock image of two old men kissing eachother while one sucks a penis on the bed.
* Bonsai Kitten - A nontraditional shock site featuring a hoax guide how to raise a kitten in a jar.
* [[Pillowfight]] - Shock image of a cropped man's penis and groin area covered in feces. There is an alternative version posted on Moid of a man laying on a bed with his scrotum cut off.
* [[Thehomo.org|Average Internet User]] - Shock image of a middle-aged man engaged in a sexual pose.
* Beecock - Shock image of bees on a man's dick, that was featured in a series of images posted on a forum that featured other bugs on that same dick.
* [[Last Measure]] - A shock site that would spam either [[Pillowfight]], [[Rotten.com#PenisBird|PenisBird]], [[Tubgirl]] or [[Lemon Party]] with the background being [[Goatse]] accompanied with a loud sound effect of a man screaming "HEY EVERYBODY, I'M LOOKING AT GAY PORNO!".
* [[Tubgirl]] - A shock image of yellow-orange enema coming out of a woman's anus and shooting into her mouth.
==The Golden Era (2004 - 2011)==
Now, this is where we get real. You'll start to see bait and switch shock sites, more [[Lemon Party|weird]] [[Hai2u|pornography]] and much more. Most of these were spread on forums and messagers.
* [[Lime Rave]] - Shock site similar to [[Last Measure]]. Instead of spamming multiple shock images, it spams an image of a man with an large penis.
* [[Drewpickles.com]] - A storage site, named after the character Drew Pickles. This site also hosts shock content.
* [[Heyya.org]] - Similar to the Meatspin Network, these are the people who host the [[Lemon Party]] site.
* [[Encyclopedia Dramatica]] - A wiki that was originally about documenting dramatic things on LiveJournal but quickly became associated with [[4chan]]. Primarily, ED hosts shock content such as [[Offended]] or [[The Pain Series|Pain Series]]. There is a spoof of the Pain Series hosted on ED named The Pane Series, only containing windows (Linux users beware for spyware).
* [[Alaskan Black Snake]] - A shock site, luckily it's not zoophilic. It is a site that supposedly says there is a new snake species with a image attached. However, if you flip the image it's a penis with a disease.
* [[The Maze]] / Scary Maze Game - A supposed maze game that told their players to turn up the volume. Once they get to the Level 3 checkpoint, they're greeted with [[Regan MacNeil]] with a scream.
* [[2 Girls 1 Cup]] - The shock video that your mother never, EVER told you to watch. It's a trailer for the scat movie Hungry Bitches. Don't watch Hungry Bitches either, trust me.
* [[PhoneTrace.org]] - A site that supposedly tracks down phone numbers. However, instead of the info of the phone number it's [[Meatspin]]! There is also [[MedicalTracer.com]], where it tracks down medical information and displays [[Meatspin]] instead of the information.
* [[Porkspin.com]] - Another shock site similar to [[Last Measure]] or [[Lime Rave]]. Instead of multiple shock images, it again, shows a Flash animation of a man spinning his penis clockwise.
* [[Offended]] - If you thought [[The Pain Series]] was bad, it doesn't come close to Offended. It is a shock site, unsurprisingly on [[Encyclopedia Dramatica]] that tells the viewer to scroll down. At first, there's pictures of cute cats, most notoriously the Limecat meme. However, at a picture of a bunny and a deer it has a large collage of gruesome shock images. At the end, it shows offensive things, but not graphic things.
* [[4 Girls 1 Fingerpaint|Swap.avi]] - A shock video made by the same creators of [[2 Girls 1 Cup]]. Again, I don't know how to describe this.
* [[Hai2u]] - A shock image of a woman vomiting while performing fellatio on a man sitting on a lawn chair.
* [[2 Girls 1 Cracker]] - Shock video of the same two women from [[2 Girls 1 Cup]] having breakfast, but you know what happens.
* [[Biglemonparty.com]] - A parody of Lemon Party by the Meatspin Network.
* [[Blink-182.com]] - A shock site featuring a GIF of a woman shooting a banana into her face using her anus.
* [[1 Girl 1 Pitcher]] - A shock video of a woman drinking a pitcher full of piss.
* [[Mr. Hands]] - A man receiving anal intercourse sex from a horse.
* [[Putrid Sex Object]] - A zoophilic shock video, combined with necrophilia. Need I say more? Don't watch it.

In 2011, a picture of former U.S. President Barack Obama was shown, and in 2018 and 2019, pictures of former U.S. President George W. The Offended page became the Featured article in Encyclopedia Dramatica on April 14, 2011, and was advertised on the front page of the website for every visitor to see, thus tricking thousands of the site's visitors into viewing the page. The Offended page was also the featured article for April 27 and 28, 2013. Eventually, the Offended page became the crown jewel of Encyclopedia Dramatica for over 18 years since the creation of the page, and was the third most viewed article on the current site, behind "Isabella Lorreta Janke" and the article on Chris-chan (with the latter's situation being an infamous subject matter on Isabella's part). As of April 2026, it is now placed at 25th place. Several [[YouTube|YouTubers]] have made [[Reaction videos|reaction videos]] of themselves visiting the article on this site and attempting to reach the bottom of the page, adding to the page's popularity, and it has been mentioned on multiple forums during the page's heyday.

The website was first registered in either 2000 or 2001, with the oldest archive of the site appearing in February 2001. Klerck.org was initially hosted by a man named Kevin Ealy. At its beginning, the website was nearly empty, containing only one link that led to a picture of his dog. However, this site did not feature any pornographic content.

By 2006, the website had gained a reputation for being listed on shock site lists created by users. While the main page did not contain pornographic content, some subpages secretly displayed disturbing images such as [[Goatse]], [[Spin.gif]], and others.

Kevin Ealy Klerck was a well-known internet troll on sites such as [[wikipedia:Slashdot|Slashdot]] (where he found a vulnerability), [[wikipedia:Shacknews|Shacknews]], and ''stoofoo.net''. The website's purpose was to serve as a personal directory of his works, including [[Dance.swf]]. Additionally, Klerck created a petition on PetitionOnline, demanding that New Line Cinema and Peter Jackson rename the second Lord of the Rings film to something more tasteful, considering the impact of the [[wikipedia:9/11|9/11 terrorist attacks]]. This troll gained widespread attention when websites, newspapers, and TV broadcasts began sharing stories about it. Various new images from the old past, such as the Hosokawa Ai image, the Kitten image, the second Kitten image, the Baby seal lion image, the Baby duck image, the Doggo image, the Raccoon image, the Alodia Gosiengfiao image, and the Lee Min-Jung image, were completely removed in the post-later years. In 2011, a picture of former U.S. President Barack Obama was shown, and in 2018 and 2019, pictures of former U.S. President George W. The Offended page became the Featured article in Encyclopedia Dramatica on April 14, 2011, and was advertised on the front page of the website for every visitor to see, thus tricking thousands of the site's visitors into viewing the page. The Offended page was also the featured article for April 27 and 28, 2013. Eventually, the Offended page became the crown jewel of Encyclopedia Dramatica for over 18 years since the creation of the page, and was the third most viewed article on the current site, behind "Isabella Lorreta Janke" and the article on Chris-chan (with the latter's situation being an infamous subject matter on Isabella's part). As of April 2026, it is now placed at 25th place. Several [[YouTube|YouTubers]] have made [[Reaction videos|reaction videos]] of themselves visiting the article on this site and attempting to reach the bottom of the page, adding to the page's popularity, and it has been mentioned on multiple forums during the page's heyday.

The main page features a simple layout containing the Searchify logo and a search box, resembling the appearance of a typical search engine. It allows the viewer to type in any search term, and upon submission, they are taken to a seemingly innocuous page displaying a set of search results from different websites, including the search term the viewer had typed in. These results remain the same regardless of the input query.

However, if the viewer clicks or right-clicks anywhere on the page, it abruptly changes to a rapidly flashing background image that appears, showing a photo montage of various screamer faces (including [[Regan MacNeil]] from ''The Exorcist'', [[Jeff the Killer]], [[Smile Dog]], [[The Rake]], [[Samara Morgan]], and [[Katie Embry]], among others) while simultaneously opening a new popup window titled "pop.php" (formerly pop.html), which displays the same content and contains a malicious script that makes the page bounce around the viewer's screen. The game itself pretends to be a free flash port of ''[[wikipedia:Super Mario Bros. 3|Super Mario Bros. 3]]''.

The game uses the WASD keys to move and jump and has a single level, which naturally looks quite similar to those found in the actual SMB3. This one, however, contains sections, enemies, and powerups that could look very advanced for a first level.

After Mario gets past a huge pool of water, he reaches a part of the level where there are wooden pillars sticking up from a pitfall, with Red Koopas standing on top of them. Not long after getting close to the pitfall, when the player dies, a flashing picture of [[Regan MacNeil]] from ''[[Wikipedia:The Exorcist|The Exorcist]]'' appears with a loud scream. But it is possible for you to go to the end where the random item is going to be where you can receive a mushroom, a flower, or a star, but when you jump on that item, the same screamer will appear too.

There are two ways to permalink a video or anything else on the wiki. First is through IPFS (highly recommended) and the other is with PreserveTube (for YouTube videos). This page provides instructions for both.

The video features low-quality footage of a woman whose pornstar name is Heather Lyn repeatedly inserting a small, yellow-white dildo inside a man's penis, resulting in a very painful image of the penis swelling drastically due to the expansion of the urethra. The video ends with the woman sliding the dildo across the tip of the man's penis.

It should be noted that the title "Kids in Sandbox" originally came from another [[shock site]] known as The Gummi Series. They became popular as an early internet similar to [[Lemon Party]] and [[Meatspin]]. The footage itself, however, is more similar to [[BME Pain Olympics]] in that it is faked footage meant to be scary. The man from the video is Jack Hammer, who appears in the pornographic spider video used in [[cutespider.rf.gd]].

Jack Hammer was wearing a silicone plastic that resembles a penis and did not have a dildo inserted into his actual urethra, as the comments from xHamster called that out already. His moans were faked, too.

== Origin ==
Releasing in the early 1990s, the adult [[video]] title "The All New Freaks of Nature" was meant as a reboot and continuation of the Freaks of Nature video series. In this specific genre of work, videos would range from legitimate acts of depravity, which could include physical abuse and gross acts, to illegitimate things meant to sell the video as a gimmick, such as a person being shown with two phalli, or one stretching over two feet long. In the specific scene, which takes place an hour into the film, the actress Heather Lyn can be seen sounding the male actor Lance Romance, though it is a fake piece of equipment being used. The segment preceding this one, for instance, also involved a piece of fake equipment, but this time for a female, as it was part of another shock site in which the actor Rod Fontana attempted to reverse-birth his head.

== Spread ==
Since its creation and distribution in 2000, the clip of Heather Lyn initiating sound on Lance Romance has proved itself to be a standout piece of the greater work, being used as part of various shock sites and as a Bait-And-Switch online, causing many early adopters in online niche culture to stumble across it at some point. On June 18th, 2010, a KYM (Or "Know Your Meme" for short) user Wesker uploaded a variation of the Advice Animal known as Insanity Wolf<ref>https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/000/055/378/Insanity-Wolf-Watch-2-Kids-In-A-Sandbox-Have-a-FAP.jpg</ref>, who correctly called out the video by name.
