'''Mario.exe''' is a [[creepypasta]] [[.exe (Creepypasta)|.exe]] [[game]] created and uploaded to [[GameJolt]] by CoolRash on April 24, 2015. It's one of the popular .exe games based around ''[[wikipedia:Super Mario Bros.|Super Mario Bros.]]''

==Gameplay==
The [[game]] opens on the original main menu, but with a few unsettling differences: Mario is full-sized, and the player options are replaced by ''[[wikipedia:Mario (character)|Mario]]'' (top) and ''[[wikipedia:Luigi (character)|Luigi]]'' (bottom). The player can only select Luigi. The moment they do, the screen flashes with terrifying changes for a split second:

#The background turns into a realistic, blood-red landscape.
#The title block becomes splattered with blood, flanked by flaming torches.
#The copyright year ''1985'' shifts to ''666'', and the high score ''Top- 000000'' changes to ''God- 5403.''
#The player text updates to read "immortal" for Mario and "they must die" for Luigi.
#The top-screen text turns black, the coin turns white, ''World 1-1'' changes to ''World E-0,'' and the timer is replaced with #the word "killlll."
#Mario's colors dull; his eyes turn pitch-black with red pupils, crying tears of blood over a blood-splattered floor.
#The bushes ignite into orange flames, developing the same black and red demonic eyes.

===World 1-1===
Luigi spawns at full size with five lives. The first level starts off playing very much like the classic ''World 1-1'', but when Luigi reaches the end, he encounters ''Mario.exe''. The demonic figure laughs evilly before burning down the iconic castle, forcing Toads to flee while burning alive. Luigi must then sprint to avoid being crushed by falling spikes. If he survives and reaches the exit pipe, an ominous message appears: "''HELLO, LUIGI. I WANT TO PLAY WIT YOU.''"

===World 1-2===
[[File:Green mushrooms.png|thumb|400px|Whatever you do, don't touch the mushrooms.]]
The second stage is an underground level filled with scattered [[wikipedia:Toad (character)|Toad]] corpses and toxic green mushrooms. Luigi must carefully dodge these hazards, or he will cough up blood and die. Near the exit, he has to evade spikes shooting from the right side of the screen before approaching a Toad with closed eyes. As Luigi gets close, the Toad appears with a [[screamer]], revealing itself as a monster. The player must then rapidly press "F" to wrestle and defeat the creature, with the loser getting decapitated. If Luigi wins, he escapes through another pipe as a new message appears: "''THAT, WHICH AWAITS FOR YOU ON THE LOCK WILL SOON LEAVE. HASTEN...''". If Luigi loses, they can try again with the remaining lives.

===World 1-3===
The third stage is a platforming level introduced by red text: "Hello, Luigi. I want to play with you. Are you ready?" Missing a jump is fatal; if Luigi falls, he hits the ground and shatters into pieces. After navigating the platforms, Luigi reaches a castle bearing the blood-red message, "Luigi, look back." Turning around reveals ''Mario.exe'' holding [[wikipedia:Princess Peach|Princess Peach]]. The demon laughs before mercilessly pushing her off a cliff to her death. ''Mario.exe'' then charges, forcing Luigi to sprint back to the castle, which now reads, "''you'RE NEXT.''" Reaching the end triggers a [[screamer]]: Mario.exe headbutts the screen alongside the infamous [[wikipedia:Five Nights at Freddy's|Five Nights at Freddy's]] scream, followed by the text again, "HAS COME YOUR TURN."

===World E-0===
[[File:Mario gameplay.png|thumb|300px|The "Final" level in question.]]
The fourth and final level takes place in a castle, interestingly named ''E-0''. As Luigi runs right, the screen glitches with static, and demonic symbols line the walls. At the end of the hall, he touches ''Mario.exe'', who instantly vanishes. Luigi is forced to backtrack to the left through a thick, red fog. Reaching the far left wall, he must turn back to the right once more, clearing the fog.

At the very end, ''Mario.exe'' flies at Luigi wielding a knife. The moment they collide, the screen cuts to black with a blood splatter. The game concludes on a deeply unsettling "''GAME OVER''" screen: a realistic, blood-red tunnel where a bloodstained Mario.exe stares directly at the player. In the background, a mutilated Toad is pinned to the wall by a knife through its exposed spine, while Luigi's decapitated head and impaled body are displayed nearby.
==Trivia==
'''Sleeping Puppy''' is a [[screamer]] [[video]] uploaded to [[YouTube]] by "TheEmeraldMan382", also known as "YaBoiFinn" and "Sharqueesha69", on February 18th, 2016.

As the title suggests, the video shows a static picture of a dog sleeping on a couch. The bright sunlight on the top left corner makes the picture blurry. However, at the fourteen-second mark, the image abruptly cuts to [[Anne.jpg]], which goes on for the rest of the video.

The video has accumulated over 700 views before being privated. It gathered further attention in 2023 due to being one of the sources found in the then-partially lost [[2016]] video.
'''Save Sammy Maze''' was a [[screamer]] [[Flash]] [[game]] made by the [[Wikipedia:PETA|People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals]] (PETA) organization, hosted on '''Canadasshame.com''' in 2011.

The game is based on Jeremy Winterrowd's [[The Maze]], with its objective being to guide a seal named Sammy across all three levels using the cursor. Its description states that if the player touches the ice floe, they and Sammy "might not like what [the former sees]."

When the player reaches the end of the third level, or touches the ice floe in the second or third level, an image of a skinned seal carcass pops up, accompanied by a female scream. A title also shows up stating "Canada Kills Seals", alongside a message: "The Canadian Government allows sealers to beat and skin tens of thousands of these gentle creatures every year. Help put an end to the Canadian seal slaughter now!". A button to replay the game is also available.
'''Hinata dress up''' is a dress-up game on Newgrounds themed around the ''Naruto'' character ''Hinata Hyuga'', made by Puffsgain. This game hides a screamer as a (literal) booby trap.

After pressing the play button to play the game, the viewer gets to choose between many different outfits to apply and remove from Hinata, from leg-wear to upper body wear; however, if the user tries clicking her bra, it turns out to be a button which will show a zooming picture of Tomino's Hell (which is actually a painting called ”I can no longer be a bride"/”あたしはもうお嫁にいけません”, drawn by Tatsushima Yuko) suddenly appearing with the scream from [[What's Wrong]], followed by another long, echoing scream.

The game is not over after this [[screamer]], since then it returns to the dress up game, but only now depicts Hinata as morbidly obese in a bikini, next to a KFC bucket as a joke, with the phrase, ”TRUE FORM NO JUTSU!” and a twangy guitar tune playing in the background, along with two summer dresses as outfit options.

Although there is no sexual content in the game, it has an Adults Only rating on Newgrounds. This is likely to trick people into thinking it is a hentai game and encourage them to try and undress Hinata, triggering the screamer.

Similar to, [[The Maze]], this game requires the player to guide a green dot through a challenging maze filled with red and black walls. Any contact with these walls will result in the player being sent back to the instructions menu, forcing them to start over.

The game's atmosphere changes as it progresses. While the first and final levels feature a somber black background, level 2 presents a darker shade of red.

However, as the player approaches the end of the third level, a picture of a woman's face, edited onto an old photograph, unexpectedly appears on the screen, accompanied by a looped audio clip of the same scream from [[The Maze]].
It pretends to be a test by The Rorschach Society of North America. It shows a bunch of inkblots and asks what the player sees. After the 4th inkblot, an ordinary picture of the late [[wikipedia:Michael Jackson|Michael Jackson]] appears along with a scream. After the screamer, the signature Sabotage Ninja appears and says, "Click here for more sabotage!", and a link to the Liquid Generation website crushes him.

The Rorschach Society of North America in itself is a real company. You can view the normal inkblot test with no screamer [http://theinkblot.com here].

There also exists a pornographic version titled "rorschachinkblottest.com" which, instead of Michael Jackson, was replaced with the content of breathe.swf from [[Discharges.org]], which depicted a black-and-white gif of a woman giving fellatio, set to Bush's "Machinehead".
'''Quiz: Heaven or Hell''' is a [[screamer]] game that was created by ''[[Liquid Generation]]'' as a part of their "[[Sabotage]]" series.

The game, also known as ''Are you going to Heaven or Hell?'', presents a series of ten moral and ethical questions based on the Ten Commandments. Each question features a picture of either a blonde girl dressed as an angel or a man dressed as the devil. After answering the questions, the game displays a calculation bar that progresses to 75% before suddenly showing the message "You're going to HELL!" on a violent background depicting hell. A mask of Satan appears and screams in a normal voice, "Ouch!"

The game then shows the usual Liquid Generation Sabotage jingle. However, instead of having the ninja show up with "Click here for more sabotage," the demon man and angel girl from the questionnaire advertise Liquid Generation, as well as an extra site called "Okay Amigo" described as being "so much fun, it just might make your ass explode." The screamer was later taken down along with the entire Liquid Generation website in 2016.
'''Try See The Image 2''' [sic] was a [[Flash]] [[animation]] from the website freakchamber.com. The website [[Albino Blacksheep]] once hosted this screamer, but now it is no longer there.

It starts off by telling you to stare at the center of an [[wikipedia:Autostereogram|autostereogram]], then slowly move your face away from it. Eventually, an image of a shark will suddenly appear with a loud roar. The screamer pops up twice.
'''X-rider.com''' is a Korean [[screamer]] [[webpage]] created and hosted by Choi Hyun-Sik in 2000.

The website features a flash loop of a clip from the South Korean film ''[[wikipedia:Epitaph (2007 film)|Epitaph]]'' on its main page, which depicts a deceased woman with a bloody, smiling face and no eyes. While there are no "screamers" per se, the video features loud, startling noises that easily ''scared'' the viewer. After a short period of time, the viewer is redirected to [https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCfWmkxOQzTh0wgGk77uigDQ VloggerChris]'s [[YouTube]] channel.

This website's domain was registered in 2000, and the initial .htm file showed a person riding a bike with a view counter displayed below. However, clicking the file led to an empty page. The domain was acquired in 2010 and replaced with a screamer, but without redirection to a YouTube channel. The site went offline in June 2015 and reappeared in early 2017. Its current main page displays the content above.
'''TÓZÉ NO ZOO!''' (TÓZÉ AT THE ZOO!) or '''TOZOO''' is a Portuguese [[screamer]] Flash animation made by Dr. Vitominas and published in his website vitominas.com probably in 2006. On May 18th, 2009 he published his animation to [[YouTube]].

The animation starts with a screen written "Dr. Vitominas Apresenta:" (Dr. Vitominas Presents:), while playing a song with fart sounds. Then, it presents the characters' names: "TOZÉ", "PAI DO TOZÉ" (TOZÉ'S FATHER), "MÃE DO TOZÉ" (TOZÉ'S MOTHER; this one doesn't actually appear in this animation); and the name of the short: "TOZÉ NO ZOO!" (TOZÉ AT THE ZOO!). The song stops playing and the intro ends.

The sound of the video while the dialogue between the characters is very low on purpose, with the intention of making the viewer increase the sound volume, so that the screamer's sound is louder and scares them even more. Dr. Vitominas wrote in its description on the website and on YouTube apologizing for the shitty sound due to his new microphone.

Tozé appears talking. Then he talks to his father, who then talks with him. In the middle of Tózé's father's speech, the screen changes to the edited image of a girl with her mouth open and without the pupils of her eyes, accompanied by a very loud screech. After the image, a black screen appears with red text written "WWW.VITOMINAS.COM"
'''1000 faces of Michael Jackson''' is a Portuguese [[screamer]] video uploaded to [[YouTube]] on May 15, 2007 by Carlos Neves (Or your old name "[http://www.youtube.com/user/Kajozinho Kajozinho]").

The video shows an evolution of the late [[wikipedia:Michael Jackson|Michael Jackson]]'s appearance over the years as of 2006. The VideoLegais.Com.Br watermark can be seen at the bottom of the video. Right at the end, a message in white saying "Pensa Que via tudo?" which means "Do you think you've seen everything?" appears. and right after that, a picture of [[Regan MacNeil]] from the 1973 supernatural horror film ''[[wikipedia:The Exorcist|The Exorcist]]'' appears with a piercing scream.

Even though the video still exists, there are numerous reuploads, one of which is a version without text uploaded by user Rafael RGonzalez47 on October 28, 2009. but that video is reuploaded to Barney Yeckley's [[YouTube]] channel on April 23, 2023. The original video without the screamer was a promo for the program Michael Jackson's Face on the See Five channel.
'''RPG Maker character input''' (RPGツクール　文字入力 - 検索してはいけない言葉 @ ウィキ) was a [[shock site|shock image]] that appears in search engine results. According to the [[Must Not Search]] wiki, the image depicts a bloody human head with severe facial injuries.

The picture received this unusual name because it was originally hosted on a Japanese [[website]] called yosiki.net/tkool, which was dedicated to [[wikipedia:RPG Maker|''RPG Maker'']] [[game]] assets.<ref name="mustnotsearch">w.atwiki.jp/mustnotsearch/pages/7112.html</ref>

The photograph is quite old and appears to have been linked from a page titled "Tsukuru Artist's Gorikien."<ref name="mustnotsearch" /> Because it was labeled as a game development tool, people searching for art assets for their [[game|video games]] often found this image by mistake. For example, a Japanese livestreamer named ''Mesa'' accidentally discovered the image during a live broadcast.<ref>'''Niconico version (region-locked)''': nicovideo.jp/watch/sm11067301</ref>

For many years, internet users believed the image was fake or a prop. However, later research proved the image is a real photograph from a famous crime. The image depicts a crime scene from the 2006 murder of [[wikipedia:Murder of Hans Pozo|''Hans Pozo'']], a 20-year-old Chilean man. He was dismembered by a businessman in 2006 near a landfill in [[wikipedia:Santiago, Chile|Santiago, Chile]].

The [[wikipedia:Murder of Hans Pozo|''Hans Pozo'']] case became so famous in [[wikipedia:Chile|''Chile'']] that it inspired many books, movies, and art pieces. While the image was widely shared on the [[website]] ''Documenting Reality'',<ref name="mustnotsearch" /> its ''unusual'' link to the [[wikipedia:RPG Maker|''RPG Maker'']] software is what made it viral among the Japanese [[shock site]] community.
'''Mario''' (stylized as "M a r i o") was a [[screamer]] [[video]] uploaded to [[YouTube]] by [[User:SkyBlueCatM|SkyBlueCatM]].

==Description==
This gameplay footage of 1985 NES game [[wikipedia:Super Mario Bros.|Super Mario Bros.]] initially presents standard Mario gameplay, yet it quickly evolves into something far more unsettling from what we know.

While the [[video]] resemble a typical playthrough at first glance, the screen suddenly flickers to black, revealing obscure, red text that flashes every few seconds. These messages try to foreshadow Mario’s end through words like "Death" (0:32) and "Fear" (0:34), and a direct warning: "Keep going, you will see death."

Eventually, the glitch acts on its own and pauses the game as Mario jumps on a question block, mimicking a technical failure; however, this proves to be far from the truth. An image from the MARIO [[creepypasta]] pops up, accompanied by [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvNgXohXmFI overlapping white noise from the Solaris.exe malware.]

==Super Mario World==
Later on, the footage shifts to [[wikipedia:Super Mario World|Super Mario World]], yet the gameplay is actually the second half of Nintendo.exe.<ref>youtu.be/hpVCFMZhUDg?t=521</ref> Here, Mario reaches a seemingly empty terrain level that features nothing but messages formed by blocks, such as "HELP."

In the long run, Mario reaches a door which is a trap to an even emptier void; no sounds break the silence, and no signs of life appear, leaving only Mario to illuminate the space. Unexpectedly, Mario gets crushed by the walls between him and Boxxy from [[Zalgo Roll'd]] appears, accompanied by a fast zooming effect and a jumpscare sound from ''[[wikipedia:Five Nights at Freddy's|Five Nights at Freddy's 3]]''. The screen fades to a message: "I hate you." and an [https://www.myinstants.com/en/instant/sonic-exe-laugh-35210/ 8-bit laughing soundbite] from [[Sonic.exe]].

==Come Over Here==
[[File:HELL MARIO.png|thumb|right|300px|The "HELL" message from MARIO.]]
The sequel to ''MARIO'' was a follow-up to the aftermath from the first [[video]]. The footage refrains from diving directly into gameplay; instead, it begins with a title screen where a VHS effect overlays the yellow text "Come Over Here," accompanied by ''[https://downloads.khinsider.com/game-soundtracks/album/the-town-with-no-name/Intro%25201.mp3 Intro 1]'' of [[wikipedia:MS-DOS|MS-DOS]] video game ''[[wikipedia:The Town with No Name|The Town with No Name]]''.

After this screen, the recording finally transitions to gameplay from the [[creepypasta]] version Super Mario Bros 2.exe by AWEI. Mario navigates a strange level and encounters leaf formations that spell the word "HELL," leading to a fork in the path.<ref>youtu.be/fLkdEJJ-m8o?t=107</ref>

Choosing the downward route reveals a gravel-like blockage that, once removed, reveals a horrifying encounter of grotesque [[wikipedia:Princess Peach|Princess Peach]] consuming the corpse of Luigi. Conversely, the upward path provides a boxing glove that triggers screen static and destroys the blockage.<ref>youtu.be/fLkdEJJ-m8o?t=214</ref>

However, Mario does not eventually reach the long neck Peach, the video instead abruptly cuts in distortion before displaying the Japanese text "起きている" ("awake") and ends with a silent image of [[Jeff the Killer]] for a split second.
==Trivia==
*All original footage and special effects were not created by Sky, but instead compiled, re-edited, and processed through the video editing software [[wikipedia:CapCut|CapCut]].
*''M a r i o'' is heavily inspired by Chinelin's videos (like "Mario World" for example)<ref>youtube.com/watch?v=lbJj7FGiHNA</ref>, adopting its signature style of recycled gameplay footage and layered visual effects.
*Although Boxxy appears in ''[[Zalgo Roll'd]]'', this video instead features the "zalogified" image of her without special effects; the same picture previously used in ''[[Sonic2.exe]]''.<ref>knowyourmeme.com/sensitive/photos/761858-zalgo</ref>
*The ''[[wikipedia:Super Mario World|Super Mario World]]'' segment originated from Randy Becker's ''Nintendo.exe'', hosted on [[GameJolt]].<ref>gamejolt.com/games/nintendoexe/245013</ref>
'''Madoka.exe''', also known as the '''Ghost virus''' or the '''Sadako virus''' in Japan, was a Taiwanese [[screamer]] [[program]]. It is a variant of the Win32/FlaGhost malware. The original author is Qiwen Lin (林 啟文) and it was written in the [[wikipedia:Hot_Soup_Processor|Hot Soup Processor]] programming language.

==Payload==
When the user runs the malware by executing the [[.exe]] directly, a picture of Madoka Ozawa, a Japanese adult actress, in full screen is displayed along with the "introduce dialogue" Chinese text showing line by line in the upper-left corner of the screen. However, a ghost version of the woman in the image will appear briefly along with a scream sound effect, before immediately returning to the original image.

Before showing the initial payload, the malware will copy itself to the Windows directory as <code>ozawa.exe</code> and try to append itself to <code>win.ini</code> in order to auto start with the operating system. Judging from the decompiled source code, this only works on [[wikipedia:Windows 98|Windows 98]] and [[wikipedia:Windows ME|Windows ME]]. On [[wikipedia:Windows_XP|Windows XP]] or higher, there is no ''Run'' section in <code>win.ini</code> and the malware will not work apart from the initial payload.

If the malware is launched from the system directory as <code>ozawa.exe</code>, either from auto start or double clicking manually in the system directory, it will enter "reside mode" without showing the initial payload with the normal woman picture. Instead, it runs in background. It will then show the screamer image along with the scream sound effect indefinitely in the following intervals: 3 minutes, 10 minutes, 30 minutes, 60 minutes, and then subsequently every 60 minutes.

If the user executes the original .exe once again after infection, the normal woman picture and the "meet-again dialogue" text will be shown and there is no screamer picture.

The program also records the number of executions of the original .exe (not the one in system directory) in <code>win.ini</code>. If it is run over 5 times, the malware will show the "bye dialogue" with the normal woman picture, then uninstall itself.
*The original EXE accepts arguments. The accepted arguments are shown below:
**'''/unst''': Uninstall the installation
**'''/ver''': Show an about dialog message box with version
* According to the decompiled source code, holding down F10 when double clicking the original EXE will cause the malware to decompile itself and unpack all the assets and codes. However, this behavior is tested not working on a WinXP virtual machine.
'''Call77.exe''' (Chinese: 惡靈電話) is a Taiwanese [[Adobe Flash Player|Flash]]/[[Application|application]] [[Screamer|screamer]] created by sm0914 in 2000. However, the creation date of the screamer says it was made back in 1997, which, of course, is not the real release date since the game uses Flash Player 4, which was released in 1999.

When the user launches the program, it displays the intro to the screamer itself with moving text while video game RPG-style music plays in the background, which lasts about seconds before cutting to a screen which shows three circle buttons with numbers which the user must click on in order to hear the calls. There are also buttons on the bottom right which, when the first one is clicked, lead to the credits along with the creator's email, while a short snippet of a [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IxQS6lfn0yU version] of Superman by [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R.E.M. R.E.M.] plays in the background. The second one simply restarts the game and sends the user to the intro screen once again.

There is a screamer on the second button, which, when the mouse is rolled over it, text shows up telling the user to click on the button for a "surprise". When clicked, the Flash player projector goes on full screen and displays an edited zooming out picture of [[Crazy Ghost]] with the eyes being white instead, while weird noises play in the background. After the animation is done playing, the picture suddenly switches to the one from [[Monster.exe]] with a loud high high-pitched scream.

Users are able to exit the screamer by clicking the Superman icon (which is the creator's logo) on the bottom right, which will result in the Flash player projector going back into windowed mode and sending the user to the option menu again.
It quickly spread over the Internet in Japan in the early 2000s. However, it didn't become as popular as its cousin. Some have complained that even when resetting the computer. However, the application will later continue its usual behavior.

The most recent version of this virus is "0.4" from November 6th, 2001.

==Trivia==

* Just like [[Madoka.exe]], According to the decompiled source code, holding down F10 when double clicking the original EXE will cause the malware to decompile itself and unpack all the assets and codes. However, this behavior is tested not working on a WinXP virtual machine.
'''Kikia''' is a [[Flash]] [[animation]] created by an unknown user and first posted on the Taiwanese service Kimo by a user named Netspooky in early 2002. Kikia is remembered as one of the earliest screamers to have existed on the internet. It was also regarded as the first of its type to become widely spread, especially on different [[websites]]. As such, Kikia was an integral step towards kickstarting the [[screamer]] trend that would scare the internet senseless.

==Background==
The early 2000s were a significant time for the internet. With an increased number of users and websites coming into the scene, so too did the horror scene. Websites such as "[[Scary For Kids]]" and other related media started to pop up and create whole communities of fans within the horror genre. However, while scary images and urban legends became the standard for them, the idea of a video or animation whose sole purpose is to scare unsuspecting viewers as they were lulled into a state of serenity had not been done yet.

Enter Kikia, a flash animation that did exactly what was previously stated. Though it started small, as it first appeared on Kimo, a blogging service in Taiwan. Aside from Kimo, it also began as a prank sent through chain mail, similar to how [[The Maze]] did it. Over the next few weeks after its official posting, it garnered much attention from both Taiwanese and even Chinese denizens of the web. By 2004, Kikia would eventually be shown to the Western world, where it also gained popularity.

While the reactions towards Kikia were mixed, its novelty was praised. Noticeably, westerners reported that they were more scared of it because it is in a language that they can not even read, to begin with. Yet, others ended up being more confused than scared, especially when they were wondering what the purpose of it was. Either way, Kikia still managed to remain popular on the internet due to it being the first of many [[screamer]]s to come.

== Overview==
The animation begins with a still of a crudely drawn boy sitting on a patch of grass, looking at the sky. Two lines of Chinese text appear letter by letter that read, "''是否已經很久..... 沒仔細看看天空.....''", translating to "''How long haven't you..... Take a closer look at the sky .....''" The view then changes and shows the boy walking down what appears to be a city street lined with simple buildings with two more lines of text displayed saying "''走在街上.......... 你看到.......''", translating to "''Walking down the street.......... You see.......''" Then, a flashing picture of a ghastly being with white eyes and an open mouth pops up, accompanied by a loud scream (see Trivia in the first section). After the screamer, the yellow text "'''<font color="yellow">Kikia</font>'''" appears, thus ending the flash animation.

==Variations==
''Kikia'' has also been parodied by many internet users, mainly from Newgrounds to Scratch.

In 2002, [[Newgrounds]] user BurritoClock uploaded the first and earliest parody of ''Kikia'' titled "[[Clockkia]]" showcasing a Radish Clock seated on a plain hill. The [[[animation]] then presents RaspberryClock strolling down the street with his companion, Burrito Clock. In the following scene, a close-up of Strawberry Clock appears, with the same scream as in the original ''Kikia''. After that, the animation displays the word "ClockKia" in yellow text.<ref>youtube.com/watch?v=kUu-L6maHDo</ref> The animation is based on Clock Crew, an internet community that had been recognized in the early days of Newgrounds.

On November 24, 2007, user SarahhhhSANTI uploaded the first [[YouTube]] parody of ''Kikia'' to the platform, titled "Caroline Kikia." It features two crudely drawn pictures of a stick figure going on a picnic with a girl singing in the background. At this moment, an image of the girl screaming appears.<ref>youtube.com/watch?v=QMG-JuEcwFM</ref> Unfortunately, this version is currently lost.

''Kikia'' parodies would find their way to another platform, [[Scratch]]. One instance is Jigglykia, a Scratch animation that starts by portraying the Pokémon character [[wikipedia:JigglyPuff|''JigglyPuff'']], seated on a lawn and looking at the sky, accompanied by the text "take a lay down, and forget your worries." It then shifts to a frame of Jigglypuff strolling down the street, followed by an image of a poorly drawn monster with a wide-open mouth, accompanied by a loud, echoing scream. The animation concludes by displaying the title.<ref>scratch.mit.edu/projects/306051848</ref>

Another Scratch animation employing the sample of ''Kikia,'' titled "Blue's Clues: If you are mad," transitions to Blue from the 1996 Nick Jr. show [[wikipedia:Blue's Clues|''Blue's Clues'']] on a gray rock with the text saying, "Take a lay down and forget your worries." Subsequently, it shifts to Blue on a street with the text saying, "Or take a stroll down the street." However, it then transitions to a Roblox character, accompanied by a loud scream used in [[Liquid Generation]], before concluding with the traditional Liquid Generation sabotage jingle.<ref>scratch.mit.edu/projects/358833845</ref><ref>web.archive.org/web/20230505145609/files.catbox.moe/uk3lo6.sb3</ref>

There exists a version on Discord that replaces the jumpscare with the beginning of the [https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/josh-hutcherson-whistle-edit Josh Hutcherson "Whistle" Edit].<ref><nowiki>https://files.catbox.moe/lqefmr.mp4</nowiki></ref>
==Trivia==
*The image used for the jumpscare is a screenshot of Koji Ogata's ghost from the Japanese survival horror video game series ''[[wikipedia:Fatal Frame (video game)|Fatal Frame]]''.
*Throughout the first half, an instrumental version of "[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wgN-qN7Au-Q First Love]" by Hikaru Utada plays softly.
*It is unknown what "Kikia" means. However, the closest information is that it is a name of Japanese origins meaning "[https://japanese-names.info/first_name/kikia/ beautiful princess]."
*Some alternative versions replace the screamer with internet memes at the end, For example; The screamer was replaced with [[wikipedia:Rick Astley|Rick Astley]] - [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ Never Gonna Give You Up], and the catchphrase "Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!" from ''[[wikipedia:Monty Python's Flying Circus|Monty Python's Flying Circus]]'' (season 2) episode ''[[wikipedia:The Spanish Inquisition (Monty Python)|The Spanish Inquisition]]'', instead of ''Fatal Frame''.

==Payload==

** '''/inst''': Install to system directory silently, without the initial payload.
'''A Super Secret Message To All Viewers''' is a screamer video uploaded to YouTube by oppositecrack on March 29, 2009.

The video begins with an image of a child with Down syndrome running in a race (specifically the Special Olympics), slowly zooming out. As the image finishes zooming out, red text appears on screen saying “Merry Christmas Everyone.” Afterward, however, an image of [[Regan MacNeil]] from ''[[wikipedia:The Exorcist|The Exorcist]]'' pops up, spinning while flashing rainbow colors, and [[Pazuzu]] from the same movie appears afterward. The video concludes with an image of another child with Down syndrome playing guitar, with his face overlayed with the face from the IMA FIRIN MAH LAZER meme, along with the associated sound, and he fires the laser from his mouth. The description of the video is an ASCII middle finger.
'''Srerrt.exe''' is a Chinese [[screamer]] [[application]] released in [[:Category:2005|2005]] and programmed in [[wikipedia:Easy_Programming_Language|Easy Programming Language]]. Despite being highly similar to that of Chinese malware [[screamers]], the creator and its website it was hosted on remains obscure as of now.

== Payload ==
The [[application]] opens with two low-quality, compressed images of rural scenery featuring trees, houses, and plants. The user distinguishes between these images despite a total lack of text, instructions, or guiding information. Even upon closer observation, the images remain identical in lighting, composition, and color. After two seconds, the pictures change into a full-screen slideshow of [[screamer]] images and [[GIFs]], such as:

*[[Crazy Ghost]]
*[[wikipedia:Sadako_Yamamura|Sadako Yamamura]] from ''[[wikipedia:Ring_(film)|Ring]]'' (see [[Ring.exe]])
*A pale woman's face with blinking red eyes and blood dripping down the corner of her mouth, as used in [[So Intimidating]].

The payload has automated the [[application]] to re-run every 15 seconds, which has forced the user to use [[wikipedia:Task Manager|''Task Manager'']] to terminate the process. Because the software has integrated itself into the background processes, the [[screamer]] reappears immediately if the user attempts to run the executable again while the original instance is still active. This segment ensures the screamer remains a recurring threat until the user has terminated the underlying task completely.
'''Can you Find the Difference before time ends?''' is a [[screamer]] video uploaded to YouTube by speedyk80d on November 11, 2006.

The video displays two identical images and challenges the viewer to find the difference between them before the time runs out. After around 20 seconds, a picture of a cute cat pops up along with the same scream from [[The Maze]]. While the picture itself is harmless, it may still be startling to unsuspecting viewers due to the severe loudness of the scream.

'''Nice Body''' (Japanese: ナイスバディ, ''Naisu Badi'') is a [[Flash]] [[screamer]] video created by an unknown person and posted on geocities.co.jp/MusicStar-Bass, under a subpage called 恐怖の館 (''Kyōfu no Yakata'', "House of Horror"). Since the website hosted several other well-known Flash programs at the time, such as [[Kikia]], it is possible that the file was sourced from elsewhere.

The earliest known mention of the page was from May 31, 2003, on a Japanese BBS message board.<ref>web.archive.org/web/20070810012245/<nowiki>http://flash.dot.thebbs.jp/1048332925.html</nowiki></ref>
== Content ==
The Flash starts by panning over a picture of a woman wearing a one-piece bathing suit, lying on what appears to be a deck of some sort. When the screen is about to reveal the woman's face, it suddenly stops. However, when the user clicks, it suddenly reveals a picture of [[Crazy Ghost]], which is accompanied by a horrified-sounding female scream. The screamer loops indefinitely.
This game follows the standard format of [[List of Maze Games|maze games]]. The objective of the game is to guide the cursor through a black and white maze without touching the walls to reach the red checkpoint. If the player fails to do so, they will be taken to a red screen with black text that reads "Rpla7", where they will start from the beginning by clicking on said text. The game has multiple levels, with each level progressively becoming more challenging than the previous one. However, just before the completion of level 5, the screen cuts to an image of The Phantom from ''[[wikipedia:Inland Empire (film)|Inland Empire]]'' with no scream sounds. The game quickly returns to the maze after the jump scare.

When the game loads, there's a high chance that the player will be taken to the "Rpla7" menu. This happens because they need to click on the 'p' or 'l' part of the text for their cursor to be correctly positioned in the maze. Otherwise, the game will assume the player touched the wall and send them back to the replay screen.
== Payload ==
[[File:Srerrt findthedifference.png|thumb|The "find the difference" challenge.]]
Upon opening, the application displays two identical pictures of a rural scene, asking the user to [[find the difference]]. However, there are no differences as both pictures are identical. After about ten seconds pass, it will display three different screamer images<ref>The first image used is [[Crazy Ghost]], and is used in many screamers of East Asian origin such as [[Happy Days.exe]] or [[McDonalds.exe]]. The second image is the same one used in [[Ring.exe]]. The third image is the GIF used in [[So Intimidating]].</ref> one by one in fullscreen, accompanied by the same scream from [[Nice Body]] that is loud even at the lowest volume settings. This payload will activate about every 15 minutes until the user manually ends the process in [[wikipedia:Task_manager|Task Manager]]. If the user runs it again while it's still active in the background, the screamer will appear again.

== Rare Chinese Screamers ==

Hey, do you actually have backup copies of [[Strimage.exe]]? Anyway, i've pretty much found 2 rare Chinese screamers on Bilibili (with ''no download links'') when i was looking up the Chinese term "Female ghost virus (女性幽灵病毒)" (a term in China used to refer to screamer programs featuring [[Crazy Ghost]] or other pics),
here are some of them. First one: '''bilibili.com/video/BV1vt411y72W/''' (doesn't show the full screamer, but only shows the Crazy Ghost image and the screamer sound (and it sounds hilariously awful lol) and it's from 2012 and password protected as seen in the video, screamer picture at 02:10 part) Second one: '''bilibili.com/video/BV1Y5411p7yb/''' (the video looks like a shitpost due to the stuff seen in the video but the screamer can be found at 00:20 part and it's possibly from 2005-06 due to the screamer uses the same sounds from [[Srerrt.exe]] as heard in the video) if you actually have any of these screamers please let me know because they look so interesting lol (not begging btw) --[[User:Joaovictorsilva|Joaovictorsilva]] ([[User talk:Joaovictorsilva|talk]]) 12:28, 17 February 2026 (MST)
Hi, Sorry I haven't figured out how to use the Talk page on Wiki. I don't seem to have any of those, and I don't think I have seen them. Those might be very hard to find and potentially lost. - whc2001 2026-04-16
Why did you change the IPFS link for [[Srerrt.exe]]?--[[User:ScreamerGuy2000|ScreamerGuy2000]] ([[User talk:ScreamerGuy2000|talk]]) 06:00, 27 February 2026 (MST)

Hi, Sorry I haven't figured out how to use the Talk page on Wiki. I thought I am going to add another mirror, but don't really know how IPFS work. It seems like no other peers mirrored it and I am not able to keep the servise running due to the ISP constraint. Sorry for that, and hope there will be a new netdisk service to allow uploading them (I still have the original file on hand) - whc2001 2026-04-16

:Ah yeah that makes sense I could definitely see pinata taking it down or whatever. I could try to mirror it if you'd like. [[User:Lawiki|Lawiki]] ([[User talk:Lawiki|talk]]) 20:20, 16 April 2026 (MST)

Hi, I wasn't aware of Pinata until now, and I hosted it on my own computer hoping someone would keep it alive. I have uploaded it to Pinata and updated the IPFS link, can any of you try again? I have kept the password for the archive so I think the chance of being taken down should be smaller. - whc2001 2026-04-17
