'''An Ordinary Battle Amongst Familiar Hills''' is a [[Flash]] [[animation]] based on the [[Sonic.exe]] [[creepypasta]], a horror story about a cursed version of the popular video game character Sonic the Hedgehog. The screamer was published to [[DeviantArt]] by the user Hazard-The-Porgoyle on October 15, 2013. The animation [[When you see it|pretends to be a still image]].

The screamer animation starts with a depiction of Sonic fighting Eggman in the green hill zone. When clicked, it initially appears as a still image. However, after a few seconds, static begins to flash multiple times and gradually consumes the screen. Soon after, a glove (presumably belonging to Sonic.exe) touches the screen and gets absorbed into it. With the static now cleared, the viewer is presented with a dark, red version of the world, featuring Sonic.exe and the evil entity of Eggman. Both characters stare at the viewer, while the text is displayed on the screen with ominous messages such as "HELLO," "FOUND YOU," "YOU'RE IN MY WORLD NOW," "YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE COME HERE," "YOU CAN'T RUN," "YOU'RE TOO SLOW," "I SEE YOU," "SO MANY SOULS TO PLAY WITH," "SO LITTLE TIME," "WOULD YOU AGREE?" and "WON'T BE LONG NOW."

As the HILL song finishes playing, the Drowning Theme begins to play slowly, and the entire screen starts shaking, except for Sonic.exe and Eggman. The screen then twists and halts, ultimately cracking to reveal a static screen in the background with the words "I AM GOD" written on it. At this point, a 3D animation of Sonic.exe appears, accompanied by a loud scream and the words "Hey, I'll play with you some other time." The animation then returns back to the initial still image.

'''Scary.exe''' was a [[screamer]] [[application]] that runs on [[wikipedia:Microsoft Windows|Microsoft Windows]] computers, the creator of this application remains unknown. The only mirror of this currently exists on files.screamer.wiki.

The icon has a low resolution skull with a large black eyes with a yellow border in his head. When launching the application, a window named '''Time configuration''' appears in which the user can choose how much seconds until the [[screamer]] will show with the default being set to 60 seconds. After setting the time, the user must click the: "OK" button to start.

After the time has passed, a picture of [[Regan MacNeil]] from [[wikipedia:The Exorcist|The Exorcist]] pops up along with the same scream from [[The Maze]]. The screamer loops, and in the upper left of the screen, there is an '''X''' button that closes the [[screamer]].
