In April 2004, the German beverage company [[wikipedia:Jump scare#In advertising|'''K-fee''']] released nine 20-second-long television commercials as part of their ''Wide Awake'' campaign to advertise their coffee drink. These commercials have been heavily criticized for their content and many feel that the adverts are very unprofessional and upsetting. However, their shocking nature is designed to simulate the effect that the product has on the viewer.

The commercials consist of peaceful scenes, such as a car driving down a grassy hillside to soothing music. However, at some point in the ad, the scene gets briefly interrupted by either a zombie or a gargoyle screaming at the camera, followed by the company's advertising campaign and the product, accompanied by a fast heartbeat.

K-fee received a lot of complaints from their viewers, and soon after that, the ads stopped being aired on television. Some people say that on some other occasions, a warning message was displayed before the advert played, informing any young children, easily scared individuals, and people with heart or certain health conditions to not view the footage. However, this is unproven.

An episode of ''[[Wikipedia:The Tonight Show with Jay Leno|The Tonight Show with Jay Leno]]'', aired in April 2005, featured a segment where the audience and [[wikipedia:Jay Leno|Jay]] reacted to K-fee's ''Car'' commercial. It was hosted on K-fee's official website from 2004 to 2007 along with the other adverts. The K-fee ''Car'' commercial was also featured in 2005 on ''[[wikipedia:...on Television|Tarrant on TV]]'', a famous British show, as well as on ''[[America's Funniest Home Videos]]''.

Each commercial had both German and English versions, with the captions at the end in the respective language. There was also either a zombie or a gargoyle at the end of each advert. In December 2005, K-fee released new commercials for their line of Latte Macchiato drinks that parodied their prank flash-style commercials. Using the footage from three of K-fee's most popular commercials (Auto, Beach, and Golf), the company replaced the zombie or gargoyle at the end of the ad with a man (for the zombie) or teddy bear (for the gargoyle) or demon-masked face (for the "upside-down" gargoyle), followed by the text "Jetzt auch mit weniger Koffein." The game also features a crane that allows Mickey to hang himself on the crane, followed by him exploding into bloody pieces. The game is similar to [[The Maze]], where its objective is to guide a seal across all three levels, without touching the ice floe, but if they do, the player may not like what they see after hitting them. The dot features an image of a seal that a cursor can control. Once before the player reaches the end of the third level, an image of a seal carcass, along with a female scream, before displaying the text that states: "Canada Kills Seals" and a message saying "The Canadian Government allows Sealers to beat and skin tens of thousands of these gentle creatures every year. Help put an end to the Canadian seal slaughter now!", not to mention that hitting the ice floe in level 2 or 3 leads to the same pop-up immediately.

'''The White Christmas Game''' was a Sabotage [[screamer]] by [[Liquid Generation]]. The screamer was taken down in 2016, along with the entire Liquid Generation website.

The game features a window overlooking a cartoony Winter landscape, with Christmas lights and a nutcracker figurine on the sides. The instructions, which are narrated by a female voice, tell the player that the window has been frosted over and challenge them to wipe off the frost to "reveal the secrets of the season." A snippet of the Christmas carol ''Deck The Halls'', played on a harpsichord, can be heard in the background.

Once the player presses "Play" or skips the instructions, a finger appears on the screen, which can be moved by the mouse to wipe off the frost from the window. Wiping it will reduce the frost in some areas, which will. However, it quickly freezes over again. The animation and the screamer will always play out the same, regardless of where or how much the player wipes the window, even if they don't wipe it at all.

Moments after the game begins, a blurry figure resembling Santa Claus appears in the background of the Winter landscape. He soon disappears and then re-appears in several different spots, seemingly advancing a bit towards the player's window every time.

Eventually, he will appear in the foreground near the center, after which an edited Santa Claus with the face of the titular character from the 1997 horror movie ''Jack Frost'' and a pointy hammer in his hand that has blood on both ends will suddenly pop up with a loud scream right in front of the window, which gets immediately smashed in.

Players then come to another screen where they have to press Enter.

=== Hill (Act 1A) ===
The player plays as Tails the Fox. The player walks through an empty Green Hill with reverse music. As Tails ventures through, he comes across a trail of doom and destruction with dead birds and even torn flowers as well. When Tails reaches Sonic, he comes slowly as the static plays, and Sonic's eyes pop up with red eyes and it cuts to black. The evil Sonic asks if he wants to play a game with Tails. a game of life or death.

=== Hide and Seek (Act 1B)===
Tails is now teleported to Angel Island but in flames. The player continues to venture through the flames of Angel Island. As the player further ventures, various pop-ups of evil Sonic appears with an evil laugh, and he chases Tails with "Drowning" music. The player tries to run away, but evil Sonic touches as the drowning music ends. Tails begin to sob silently. Then, Sonic.EXE pops up right in front of him in a couple of seconds, Evil Sonic fatally stabs Tails, and immediately cuts to black with a murderous scream from the 1988 horror film ''Slugs''. Right after that, Evil Sonic states that you were too slow and asks if you can try again,

=== You Can't Run (Act 2) ===
The player now plays as Knuckles the Echidna. The player ends up in an empty space of Scrap Grain Zone, with a dark red sky with Giygas' theme from ''Earthbound''. The player starts to venture through the empty zone, but as he continues further then static begins to flicker with blood everywhere. After a while, the player will reach Sonic with a distorted message "fOUnd yOu". The player tries to fight off with evil Sonic as the song from ''Silent Hill'' plays, but the evil Sonic teleports back and forth and the music eventually stops as Knuckles crawls down with tears and evil Sonic stabs Knuckles, and the same murderous scream from the 1988 horror film ''[[Wikipedia:Slugs (1988 film)|Slugs]]'' is heard as the game immediately cuts to black. After this, evil Sonic states another message to the player that many souls to play with so little time, and ends with "Would you agree?".

The player now plays as is Dr. Eggman. The player is in a castle-like building with the same reversed music from ''Hide and Seek'', but it's un-reverse. As the player ventures down staits, it gets darker with every floor until the player fades away in the darkness, and evil Sonic suddenly heard laughing and the music stops playing. After a while, evil Sonic pops up right before him, and the game cuts to statics. After a while, the game cuts to a close up of evil Sonic, calling himself a god ("'''I AM GOD'''") written upwards. Then a couple of static came and evil Sonic laughs very loudly, and more static cames in and goes to black. After a few seconds, a "Ready for Round 2?" message pops up, then, the game cuts to a "Game Over" screen with a reverse US version of Sonic CD plays several time, but then, static pops up with a dark background with nothing but with blurs of blood, with a creepy message with "There is a way to release ourselves. A spell to obtain our souls once more. But we speak it - but when we speak- No sound. We are all deaf. So failure in inevitable. And I regret ever entering my internal bet. With the devil inside of me. Immortality vs. sol snatching, Gary Crook vs Jake Shanley, Ambition is overrated."

The player now plays with normal Sonic, but with a slow dial-up sound plays as you started to venture through a dark place with horror screams as the bar on the left goes backwards. As the player ventures, the background suddenly changes to red sky as the bar pops out as your continue to venture further. Then after several seconds, an evil Sonic fades and zooms toward his mouth and cuts with red effects and evil Sonic laughs very loudly. After a few seconds, the game cuts to a Japanese message and the game ends.

==Spirits of Hell==
Created in 2018, now in a more extensive version, now also with the option to make Tails, Knuckles and Dr. Eggman survive at the end of the game, taking many more stages and more killing scenes, with several alternate endings. But it has also changed where the scenes of scares occur in particular phases.

NOTE: The following description may contain '''spoilers''' for Spirits of Hell.

*In the first solo stage of Tails, you will get a coconut tree with evil Sonic hanging upside down, if you jump on top, cut to the scene of evil Sonic jumping on the screen with a loud scream.
**At the same stage, if the Tails see the dead animals and return to their plane without getting the Green Ring, the Tails will begin to walk slowly, and out of nowhere, Evil Sonic will go behind Tails, wherein case he picks up, evil Sonic jump to the screen with a loud scream next.
**In the next stage of Tails, in that part where Tails has to run to not get caught by Evil Sonic while playing the song of "breathlessness" in the aquatic stages of Sonic, where Tails seems to run automatically when the music ends, you have the option of jumping on a terrain separated by an abyss not to be caught by Evil Sonic. But if you do not jump in time, you fall into the abyss, where when you reach the bottom of the abyss, Evil Sonic will appear to kill you in the end. And you also have the option to stop running when that song is finished, but if you do, Evil Sonic knocks you down and then appears and kills you, where suddenly the screen turns dark with a scream out loud from Tails, but at least Evil Sonic does not jump off the screen here.
*In the second solo stage of Dr. Eggman, if you can not get within 30 seconds until the end of the scene, Evil Sonic will then wait until you reach the endpoint, where he will then jump on the screen with a loud scream.
*In the stage where only Tails and Dr. Eggman survived, it starts with Dr. Eggman's laboratory filled with fog, with the option of opening the windows to get out of the fog or at no risk. If you open the windows, after all the fog is gone, you will see the Evil Sonic that will go to Dr. Eggman, jumping to the screen with a loud scream at the end, before going to kill the Tails afterward.
*There are also secret black rings which you have to pick up. It initially is completely useless, but in case you only have one survivor, after completing the "Hidden Palace" phase and finding out why Sonic became a demon and started killing everyone, the next stage where goes your last survivor character, will be attacked by Evil Sonic and in case you have not got the black ring, it will kill the last survivor. From there will appear the screen of all shown as undead before Evil Sonic drops to the screen with a loud scream and ends with the game's cliffhanger.
