The best illusion ever is a screamer video made by incenserd on June 16, 2007, the creator of Saw IIII preview.

The video displays an image of two circles and asks the viewer which one of the circles is bigger. The video supposedly had annotations (before YouTube removed them) urging the viewer to turn up their volume and move closer to the screen. After 20 seconds, a picture of a goblin’s face briefly pops up along with a loud scream. The video has received 4,100,000 views as of today.

The implied “optical illusion” (that the left circle is actually bigger) doesn’t exist; the right circle really is more than three times the diameter of the left one.
