The famous Jesus illusion is a screamer video uploaded to YouTube by geno2k3. It was originally uploaded on April 2nd, 2008.

The video instructs the viewer to look at the dots in the center of the picture for 30 seconds and then look away from the screen. 23 seconds in, a picture of Regan MacNeil from The Exorcist pops up, accompanied by a low-quality sound effect of the Doomguy's death scream from the 1993 first-person shooter game DOOM.

An alternative version, "JESUS ILLUSION", was created by Gutxih on December 22, 2007. It provides similar instructions and displays the same screamer with a female scream sound effect instead of Doomguy, followed by an evil laugh.

Another alternative version titled "ilusao de optica" was created by richard roger in December 19, 2009. It provides similar instructions and displays the same screamer, accompanied by a female scream sound effect.
