The Jumpscare Challenge is a screamer video created by ethanb0206 that challenges viewers not to get startled by a sudden jumpscare without knowing when it will occur. It was uploaded to YouTube on January 18th, 2016, and had amassed over 3.3 million views as of 2021, with a like-to-dislike ratio of 64.51, before eventually being privated.
The video begins with Barney inquiring of the viewer on the moment the screamer will appear in it, before chuckling as his head transforms into a Trollface. It then fades to pitch black, and throughout the video, Barney randomly appears on the screen, accompanied by Barney reminding "Don't skip."
At forty-six seconds into the video, a bright close-up image of Barney's face with sharp teeth, with a red threshold filter, suddenly appears, along with an extremely loud nuclear noise. The image then fades out, only to immediately return with the same sound afterwards.
The screamer portion of the video was featured on SSSniperWolf's YouTube channel at the 5:49 mark. After the jumpscare, she exclaimed, "Oh my god, that scared the shit out of me; And I'm so sorry if that scared you, but I felt like I needed a jumpscare.
