Agor.io was a screamer webpage intended to startle users who mistyped the domain Agar.io, a popular online game. The site was registered in May 2015, and closed some time after July of the same year. This type of domain name abuse is referred to as typosquatting. The creator of the website was found to be Preston Kellenberger, living in Sardinia, Ohio.[1][2]
Description
Upon being loaded, the website immediately displays a rapidly flashing image of Jeff The Killer alongside a deafening and metallic sound. This is the same Flash animation used in Anne.jpg. Leetspeak text can also be seen on the page, reading "L3mm1ng Braz1I App3r Yazir Alyx WanR00t H0rs3 D0nny".
When the user tried to close the page, an alert box appeared with the message: "U SCARED BRO LOL", forcing the user to close the web browser completely. This script rendered some older browsers impossible to close without the use of a task manager.
