hoops and yoyo secret is a screamer video made by YouTube user BamberAndDace (also known as Boojumpscare! on this wiki) on January 11, 2025.
The video mimics an old YouTube recording, where Bring Me To Life by Evanescence blares in the background and heavy video compression blurs the screen while a tutorial demonstrates how to unlock a "secret" through specific trap placement in the video game version of Hoops & Yoyo.
Initially, instructions are given to the viewer to mimic the creator’s trap placement, and after various items are scattered in no particular order and balloons are stacked, the first "outlet" object seen must be attached. Once these steps have been completed, the level is "tested" by the creator, though a strict warning is issued stating that the character "Yoyo" must be used; if the character "Hoops" is chosen instead, the player will immediately die.
When the level finally loads, none of the placed traps are visible yet, leaving the stage entirely empty except for a coffee maker. Approaching the object, a flashing picture of Regan MacNeil from The Exorcist pops up with the same scream from The Maze. After a while, the video concludes with the following credits:
- Hallmark Cards for Hoops & Yoyo
- Bring Me To Life by Evanescence (credited as "the cool music in the back")
- Jeremy Winterrowd for "the jumpscare."
The credits ends with the line of text reading: "get fooled XD".
Trivia
- The video was made as a "coping mechanism" of Super Mario 64 big star secret being lost media.
