Dan's Gallery of The Grotesque (also known as "The Gallery of the Grotesque") was a shock site created in 1994 that hosted pictures and videos of murders, dead bodies, perverse sex acts, war footage, and crime scene photos[1]. It was the earliest shock site; and was created as a college project, but later got shutdown in 2001 before being apparently "mirrored"[2], though no such mirror can be found anywhere. It most likely inspired Rotten.com.

The site was mentioned on a radio broadcast of The Howard Stern Show where Howard Stern shares his thoughts about the site and the images featured on it.[3]

There is a parody version of this site made by Andy depicting arcade cabinets instead of real people.
