HALLUCINATE WITHOUT DRUGS
HALLUCINATE WITHOUT DRUGS is a screamer video uploaded to YouTube by user ROY0666 on March 7, 2007. The video pretends to be a "hallucination experiment" that can supposedly make the viewer hallucinate just by watching. Its description instructs the viewer to turn up their device's volume and wait for the optical illusion in the video to turn orange so the "high frequency sounds can be heard".
The video, edited with Windows Movie Maker, starts with the title "HALLUCINATION EXPERIMENT" on a black screen. The title is then replaced by text that says how the fake experiment will work and instructs the viewer to focus on the screen, saying "THE FOLLOWING VISUAL CLIP WILL PLAY FOR APPROXIMATELY 30 SECONDS." and "POSITION YOUR HEAD ABOUT ONE FOOT OR LESS FROM YOUR COMPUTERS [sic] SCREEN, AND STARE AT THE CENTER, TRYING NOT TO BLINK".
The fake experiment starts with a motion aftereffect animation with a color-changing effect (possibly "Hue, Cycles Entire Color Spectrum"), slowly going from blue, then white, and finally yellow, before being interrupted by a painting of a demon by artist Johanna Arcand along with what seems to be the video creator's distorted scream. After the screamer, the video cuts to black, with white text saying "I'M A F****** A*****, AINT I? HA HA HA, MOTHER F*****!!!", then ending with "BY: ROY HOFFER, 3-3-07".
