desertofthereal.org is a shock site created by an unknown user in 2005. It shows a picture of a man with a mustache, sucking on feces coming out of another man's anus. The page's background is green and has small text that reads "zomg, zizek~" and "lolz, internet".

The image used to be titled "lawlz.jpg" before being renamed to "real.jpg" in 2007.

Back then it used to change to an animated .gif image of a cat, watching cat porn on TV.

The site was also a mirror of desertofthereal.com which featured the same image.
