Call77.exe

Call77.exe (Chinese: 靈異電話 / 惡靈電話) is a Taiwanese Flash/application screamer created by sm0914 in 2000. However, the creation date of the screamer says it was made back in 1997, which, of course, is not the real release date since the game uses Flash Player 4, which was released in 1999.

When the user launches the program, it displays the intro story with moving text while video game RPG-style music plays in the background.

Tale of the 7th Lunar Month - The Haunted Phone

This is a real story.

A girl student from a certain school died in a car accident.

Her phone service was terminated by her boyfriend immediately afterwards.

But after a while, it was reported that someone had actually called that number and got response from it.

Yes, it's that exact number.

It was heard that if you call her, she'll also call you back.

Now you have three options:
1. Call
2. Don't call
3. ?

After the story, a screen of three circle buttons with numbers in the middle appears, which the user must click on in order to make a choice. There are also two rectangle buttons on the bottom right which, when the first one is clicked, lead to the credits along with the creator's email, while a short snippet of a version of Superman by R.E.M. plays in the background. The second one simply restarts the game and sends the user to the intro screen once again.

If the user selects the first one (call), it will show a screen with static text with the number presented once again:

The second button (don't call) is where the main screamer resides. When the user selects it, the flash player window gets full screen automatically, and a zooming-out animation of a pale women face (also used in Monster.exe) edited without eyes plays along with a quiet rumble. After the animation is done playing, the picture suddenly switches to the version with eyes, along with a loud high-pitched scream.

The third button (?) plays the follow-up story also in full screen:

On the final end screen, there is also an image of a Kuntilanak in the center of a corridor holding a doll shown, and a simple animation of it going off the image and head getting ripped off is shown.

The user is able to go back to the previous screen by clicking the Superman icon (which is the creator's logo) on the corner of the screen. It will also revert the flash player back to windowed mode if currently in full screen.
