The player controls Luigi using arrow keys to move, and spacebar to jump, the player spawns in a grassy platform with trees and clouds everywhere, there is a text appears stating ''"Where is Mario? This is very strange..."'' after you keep going further, the background will change to a negative version, along with a text stating "What was that!?", after you keep going again, a text appears stating "I can see someone", when the player falls on the ground, a picture of Mario.exe pops up accompanied by a loud scream, then freeze itself afterward.
The game gained popularity when the [[YouTube]]r Luigikid posted a gameplay video just two days after its release.

Afraid is a screamer game developed by NexyusProductions (@NexyusNex) and published to Gamejolt on July 14, 2014.

The game gained popularity when the YouTuber Luigikid posted a gameplay video just two days after its release.
